This will be a landmark month because at the very end, on June 30, Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will move out of ♋Cancer and into ♌Leo. This has not happened since July 2014 to August 2015. Lucky you, Jupiter will spend nearly 13 months in your eighth house of other people’s money, and you are likely about to enter one of the most rewarding financial years of your life.
The eighth house rules money you receive from others outside of your salary, such as a bank loan, line of credit, credit card cash advance, insurance policy payout for a claim, mortgage, venture capital, inheritance, or money from a major sale (such a piece of real estate or the sale of your business). You might make a large commission or royalty, receive backpay for child support, or see a court case settle in your favor with a large check. If you are in the process of a divorce, you are likely to be pleased with the final amount you will receive in the fair division of property.
Usually, this area of your chart does not point to salary, but I cannot rule salary out as an area of gain because energy often bounces back and forth in a straight line (180 degrees apart) between two houses on the horoscope found opposite each other. The house opposite your eighth house of other people’s money is your second house of earned income. In the coming months, you should find this to be a highly rewarding year for your finances, possibly the best you have ever experienced. Jupiter will remain in ♌Leo and your eighth house until July 26, 2027.
The last time you had this same energy from Jupiter was from July 2014 to August 2015, but the other planets were stealing the show and making it hard for you to see the full bounty of the gifts Jupiter had to offer you. This time will be far better, with no interference from rogue planets. You have every reason to be optimistic.
When Jupiter moves into fire-sign ♌Leo, he will join the other major outer planets who have been migrating into fire and air signs since last year. Fire and air go together like coffee and cream. This shifts the balance of power in your chart away from earth and water signs to those of fire and air. You are an earth sign, but no worries—everyone has air and fire signs sitting on the cusps of certain houses. For you, the areas of emphasis now and in future years will be on money management, career, home, and property, as well as on family members. You will have opportunities in other areas too, but here I am talking about the broad themes that will dominate the coming years.
It is rare for the outer planets, as a large group, to be completely friendly to one another like this. This is good news for all of us, for when the planets are kind to one another, we feel more secure and can make greater progress.
Meanwhile, the small, personal planets—Mercury, Mars, and Venus—move quickly and will give your chart some balance, but even these will visit fire and air signs occasionally. This all means that the emphasis in life will shift a bit, and parts of life that seemed so important until now may become less so as you begin to give value to other areas. Having more money coming in this year will give you more options and a feeling of comforting financial security that you may not have experienced before.
As you enter June, you will first come through the 🌕full moon of May 31, which will still be influencing you until June 5. This 🌕full moon appeared in ♐Sagittarius and your twelfth house. This is a mild, quiet part of your chart. It is associated with rest and reflection, so you will have time to think about recent events and consider all that you’ve learned from them in the past year. You will be under the influence of the 🌕full moon until it fully wanes (June 5).
Saturn, now firmly ensconced in your home sector, will buttress that May 31 🌕full moon in ♐Sagittarius, indicating that taking time to think about your life’s direction will pay off. Socrates felt that the unexamined life was not worth living, so make time to reflect and daydream about the future.
Meanwhile, Mars will spend nearly the entire month in your truelove sector (fifth house). This is a welcome trend that started last month on May 18 and will extend to June 28. Mars’ placement here will put you in the mood for love, allowing you to step away from your desk and enjoy a more tender, personal side of life. Enjoy this time, for when Mars moves to ♊Gemini (on June 28 to stay until August 11) your work life will become super active. Once in ♊Gemini, Mars will start energizing your sixth house of work-a-day assignments, so enjoy the sweet vibrations for love and romance at play in June.
Adding to this lovely mood will be Jupiter, still in ♋Cancer and gracing your sector of marriage. Over the past year, you were the sign most likely to hear wedding bells.
Jupiter will have an important meeting with graceful Venus on June 9. Both planets will meet in conjunction in ♋Cancer and your seventh house of marriage. It does not get any more romantic and tender than this! This would be the ideal day for an engagement. If you are getting married on the weekend preceding June 9, say, on Saturday, June 6, or Sunday, June 7, that’s close enough to enjoy this lyrical aspect. Already married? Promise me that you will make this evening special—have a dinner out in a wildly romantic restaurant filled with flowers, pretty china, and soft lighting, and celebrate your love for each other.
That same day, Tuesday, June 9, may bring excellent news about your career. Why? Your solar tenth house of prestigious professional advancement is ruled by ♎Libra, and ♎Libra is ruled by Venus. Watch June 9 to see what career news arrives—more money could be on its way to you.
But wait! You have more excellent career news coming! (This always makes a ♑Capricorn happy—you are very serious about seeing regular career growth.)
On June 13 Venus will move into ♌Leo and your financial eighth house, adding to the possibility that you will enter a profitable period that will last from June 13 to July 9.
Try to get as much done as possible in the first half of June. Mercury will retrograde in ♋Cancer from June 29 to July 23, which will bring delays. We always feel the haywire effects of a Mercury retrograde at least 10 days before (June 19) the official turnaround date of the retrograde.
Now let’s turn to some other things happening this month, all quite important to you.
You have more interesting Venus aspects, but in the middle of the month, on June 14, you have the 🌑new moon in ♊Gemini, 24 degrees, in your work-a-day assignment sector. A 🌑new moon usually opens the door to new opportunity, but this 🌑new moon is flawed—it will be what’s known as void of course. This means the 🌑moon is making no aspects to any planets, so the 🌑moon is weak and can’t help you much at all. A void 🌑moon is a little like Mercury retrograde, only Mercury stays retrograde three and a half weeks, and a void 🌑moon comes in short bursts. When the 🌑moon is void it is never wise to do anything where you hope for a good outcome and progress.
A 🌑moon can be void for a few hours or even for five minutes, but again this 🌑moon is different, and it will be void from June 14 at 10:53 PM EDT to June 15 at 8:14 AM EDT. The 🌑new moon appears at 10:53 PM EDT. I feel this 🌑new moon won’t produce the results you are hoping to achieve.
Anyway, back to your report: Because this 🌑new moon on June 14 is void, more importance is now placed on Pluto in ♒Aquarius and your solar second house of earned income when he picks up the phone to call Uranus in ♊Gemini. These two planets are currently outstandingly friendly, so Pluto will urge Uranus to do something, which he might or might not agree to. (With Uranus, the planet of surprises, you never know what he will do, as he is totally independent and does what he wants.) Fortunately, these two major outer planets will be cordial to each other this entire year, and they could generate a profitable business opportunity for you despite the moon’s lackadaisical mode. As you see, you have reason for hope.
On Monday, June 15, encouraged by what is going on with Pluto and Uranus, Venus in ♌Leo will contact Uranus in ♊Gemini, too. (Remember, Venus rules your solar tenth house of professional reputation and advancement.) The aspect between Venus and Uranus will be a sextile, which is friendly and helpful. This could bring a chance to make a surprise victory at work on a project you are involved in, or you may land a new client. Surprises like this are so sweet!
On the following day, June 16, Venus in ♌Leo is on a roll, and she will make friendly contact with Neptune in your home sector. This is a glamorous vibration, full of magic and stardust, so use this day to entertain. This could also be a highly romantic day, so you could serve a memorable dinner to your sweetheart—do it at home, and let the evening unfold. Keep in mind, as said earlier, that you have Mars, the action planet, in the perfect-for-you sign of ♉Taurus and your fifth sector of true love until June 28, so make the most of it. Mars only comes by every two years.
On Thursday, June 25, when Venus trines Saturn, you’ll have a chance to make an improvement to your home that you’ve been dreaming about. Go shopping for something to refresh your décor. This will also be another great day for your career, and something that you accomplish could have long-lasting results. Saturn is your ruling planet, so this day has extra special significance for you.
As the month nears a close, on June 29, you will see 🌕full moon in ♑Capricorn, 8 degrees. This will be a big moment for you because it will bring something of enormous personal importance to culmination. (This event or situation is so personal to you that I can’t even see it in the chart, but I bet you already have an inkling of what it might be.)
Often a 🌕full moon in your ♑own sign brings a flash of insight—a eureka moment when everything suddenly makes sense. If you have been puzzled by a situation in any area of life, spend a little time thinking about it. If something has been hidden from you, the 🌕full moon will force information to the surface.
At the time of this 🌕full moon, your ruler, Saturn, will be in hard angle to the Sun in ♋Cancer and to the 🌕full moon in ♑Capricorn, so you may be making a big decision or a commitment to another person. You will be aware of the seriousness of this choice, and you seem quite ready to make it. It looks like you will need to spend a large sum at this time—it could be to pay for an action or expensive item.
The 🌕full moon is not only pointing ♑to you but also to your interactions with ♋your partner. You may be promising exclusivity to each other, and if you are not quite ready for marriage, you may be testing out the idea of moving in together.
Whether you are married or single, if you are looking for a place to live, you may have to look at many spaces, more than you assumed you would need to look at, to find your dream apartment or house. Taskmaster Saturn is in your fourth house of home (since February 13) and will remain there for two years. Saturn would never deny you new living quarters, but he may ask you to spend more time than you had hoped to find the right place.
There is your month! Don’t worry too much about the cost of your rent or mortgage. You are in for a fantastic financial year ahead starting June 30, as I mentioned at the top of my June report for you. Having more money coming in will give you choices and the sense of renewed financial security that has always been your aim. I am happy for you, dear ♑Capricorn.
You have a nicely balanced chart in June, so this month should bring solid productivity. You have been working hard, though, and the 🌕full moon in ♐Sagittarius on May 31 suggests that you desperately need time off. See if you can take it easy over the May 30-31 weekend and until June 5. (The time span of any 🌕full moon is four to five days before it fully wanes.)
Work may be arduous and require long hours of concentration, but you will also have time for love, fun, romance, and friendship all month. Mars is currently in highly compatible ♉Taurus, lighting your fifth house of love, which also includes leisure and sports, as well as pregnancy, birth, and the care and enjoyment of children. Mars will also help you find a way to make your creativity flourish.
Mars will keep the personal side of your life bright and lively all the way until June 28. Take every opportunity to arrange outings with the one you love, and devote time to your children. Work is going to be brisk next month, and management will need all hands on deck, so in lovely June give yourself permission to relax.
The 🌑new moon on June 14 will be in ♊Gemini, 24 degrees, but won’t make contact with any planets. That means she is void. It is very hard to make any progress when the 🌑moon is in this state. Although normally you would see a lot of assignments come in at this time, I just don’t see this happening. By mid-June you will need rest, so the 🌑moon’s leisurely, lazy mode may be all for the best. Life will be very lively at month’s end, so you won’t miss out.
The most important part of the month will happen at the end.
The only 🌕full moon of the year in ♑Capricorn will arrive on June 29. 🌕Full moons bring conclusions, and sometimes high points that you will long remember. You may be attending an important event, making a major decision, or taking action on an opportunity dear to your heart within five days of the June 29 🌕full moon. This 🌕full moon will clash with Neptune in your home sector, so you may have sudden water damage or concerns about the quality of your drinking water. If you are looking at a new house or apartment to rent or buy, find out what the seller is not telling you—there appears to be something.
Alternatively, a long-held family mystery may surface during this time, bringing information that will help you discover facts that will reveal certain truths. Your ruler, Saturn, will also be challenged by this June 29 🌕full moon. You may feel the weight of responsibility at home and the pressing need to live up to promises you’ve made.
Jupiter will enter ♌Leo on June 30 for 13 months, remaining in ♌Leo until July 26, 2027. All this time, this planet of good fortune will be in your financial eighth house of other people’s money. You are about to be the recipient of a bonanza of financial opportunity and luck that will come to you through the back door rather than through your regular salary.
Specifically, the eighth house rules income that arrives through commissions, royalties, insurance payouts, prize winnings (the lotto is too hard to win—try a charity raffle ticket), inheritances, bonuses, valuable gifts, or money or valuables through other means. You’ve not seen a year like this in over a decade.
You will have money to save, invest, or buy something you’ve always wanted during the coming period starting June 30 and the nearly 13 months that follow. It will take some time to see Jupiter’s gifts—have faith that they are on the way, to arrive sooner or later. Watch the friendly 🌑solar eclipse in ♌Leo on August 12 as a likely time to see what I am talking about here!
Lastly, Mercury will be retrograde from June 29 to July 23, so put off settling all your new arrangements (if possible) until late July.
If you feel life is moving along too slowly, it may be because Mars moved into ♉Taurus on May 18 and will remain in your twelfth house of behind-the-scenes activities until the end of June. If you’re in a planning stage now, you may long to be in the more active, make-it-happen stage. Your wish will come true on June 28 when high-octane Mars moves into ♊Gemini for the first time in two years. You will start to move at the speed of light from June 28 to August 11.
In a little cosmic glitch, Mercury, your ruling planet, will turn retrograde from June 29 to July 23. You might feel like throwing your arms in the air, standing on your desk with a bull horn, and saying, “Oh no, I’m doomed!” However, you can use this period quite successfully, and here’s how.
Mercury retrograde will urge you to look back, not forward, so think about reaching out to the people in your life that have always supported you but that you haven’t seen or connected with in a long time. You may be able to rekindle that business relationship and work together successfully again. Knowing Mercury will retrograde at month’s end, it behooves you to press forward in early June to settle any vital matters in your work and personal life.
Also, if you just completed a big project, review what worked (and what didn’t work so well) so that you can improve on any similar projects in the future.
Let’s now turn to look at the effect of the 🌕full and 🌑new moons. The 🌕full moon on May 31 was in ♐Sagittarius, which rules your solar seventh house of marriage and partnership. A 🌕full moon is influential for four and a half days as it gently “deflates,” so you will feel the message of this 🌕full moon at any point from May 31 to June 5.
This 🌕full moon was speaking in riddles, and its result will depend on how your relationship has been going. If you’ve been seriously dating and happy, you might get engaged or married. If you have had a stormy relationship for some time, and if you tried to fix it to no avail, the relationship may reach full boil during the 🌕full moon period.
Even if that should happen, it might not spell the end of this relationship. Instead, it could simply clear the air. A mature friend may be helpful in untangling the problem. I say this because Saturn will be beautifully trine (a divine, harmonious aspect) to the 🌕full moon, so you may work things out.
This 🌕full moon can be felt in a romantic partnership (as described above) or in a business alliance. If anything has gone off the rails, it will be time to lay your cards on the table in an honest discussion. You have the option of repairing the relationship—or not. See how you feel.
Uranus will widely oppose the 🌕full moon and conjoin the Sun within an 7-degree span, which is wide and on the fringe, but still within the circle of mathematical significance. It is hard to say if you will receive an unexpected response or comment from your partner, so stay alert. At the same time, comforting, stabilizing Saturn will be active too, and send a lovely trine to the 🌕full moon as his orb is within two degrees. In astrology, the tighter the aspect, the more strongly it is felt. This is the reason I feel you can ease tensions and find a way back to calm if you are predisposed to that outcome.
On June 9 you will have the meeting of good-fortune Jupiter and luxury-loving Venus, which is a five-star aspect. They will meet in ♋Cancer and your solar second house of earned income, and you are likely to see a generous influx of cash or a valuable gift near this date. You might want to start to drum up business early in June, for it looks like you will see solid results.
The 🌑new moon in ♊Gemini, 24 degrees, on June 14 is a bit of a quagmire. It should be your annual birthday gift, for a 🌑new moon allows a previously locked door to open, and when it falls in your ♊own sign, which happens once a year, it normally allows you to make progress in any area of life that you choose.
However, this 🌑new moon on June 14 is flawed, for the 🌑moon will not make contact with any planets, which in astrological terms is a 🌑moon void-of-course. It’s rare to see a 🌑new moon in a void position, for it makes it weak and ineffective. Progress is difficult when a 🌑moon is void—things tend to stay the same as they are.
On top of this, Mercury is due to turn retrograde on June 29, and you will begin to feel the slowdown that Mercury brings as soon as June 19, a full 10 days earlier. I feel you should sit and continue planning, with the intention of making your biggest moves next month.
On Monday, June 15, Venus in ♌Leo will make a gorgeous aspect to Uranus in ♊Gemini. You may receive an invitation to travel unexpectedly. With Venus involved, the accommodations should be lovely, and the people you interact with are sure to be friendly and generous.
On the following day, Tuesday, June 16, a glamorous aspect will occur, Venus in trine to Neptune. That day sparkles for social fun, so make plans to see a close friend or romantic partner for dinner. Venus will be in fire-sign ♌Leo and Neptune in fire-sign ♈Aries—both perfect for you. You may feel a shower of romantic fairy dust on this sparkling day.
Moving deeper into the month, we have an energetic aspect on June 27 when Mars in ♉Taurus (from your behind-the-scenes twelfth house) links to Jupiter in your third house of communication. I feel you could send a well-thought-out proposal or present a dazzling sales pitch to a client on this day, and you’ll likely receive the green light from the client to begin your project.
However, this day falls perilously close to Mercury retrograde (June 29), so make sure you speak clearly about all details, and set the start date at the end of July (after July 23) when Mercury will be direct.
The 🌕full moon of June 29 will fall in ♑Capricorn, 8 degrees, and will light your eighth house of other people’s money. You may be sending a wire to pay an expensive bill, or you might receive a check for a large amount. Jupiter will be in direct contact (a heavenly trine) with Neptune, so your creativity and imagination will be valued. Neptune will be square the 🌕full moon and Sun, so you will need to list the details—they may be ambiguous at first, and you will want to know more about what precisely the client wants in the end. You may overlook a detail that could come back to bite you later, so be thorough when discussing this upcoming project.
The biggest change this month will come on the last day of June—June 30—when Jupiter moves into ♌Leo for the first time in 12 years. (Jupiter was last here from mid-2014 to mid-2015.) Jupiter will move to your third house of communication and travel, which, in the natural chart, is ruled by ♊Gemini (layered over that, your solar third house is ruled by ♌Leo).
Your ancient connection to the third house is responsible for your brilliant talent with all aspects of the communication arts—writing, speaking, editing, researching, and foreign language translation. You may have become a writer, editor, public relations expert, social media director, advertising executive, blockbuster salesperson, podcaster, software guru, website designer, or app developer, as some examples. You were born to communicate.
It is said that in the Greek Hellenistic period, the king always chose a ♊Gemini to write the laws of the land on the clay tablets. If another sign wrote them, no one would follow them because no one could understand them. ♊Gemini has the gift of making complicated subjects clear. Internal Revenue Service, are you listening? (To my foreign readers outside of America, the IRS is the tax collecting department in the US. Most people might say that the IRS instructions are hard to follow.) As a ♊Gemini, you have a wide vocabulary and know how to transmit a message easily and simply—yet in an entertaining way. It is quite a talent.
If you have a book or screenplay inside of you that you want to write, this is the year to get serious about making a start. Be “in the soup” of the industry. Mix with other writers, editors, and publishers who will tell you about their projects—their enthusiasm will rub off on you. Take a class in creative writing. You might want to join a club devoted to your area of expertise. As they say, look out your window, and write about what you know. Your perspective is valuable and needs to be heard.
If you want to start a podcast or introduce a smartphone app to the market, this is the year to assemble your team. The most important component of this plan is to start. (Remember, Steve Jobs was not an engineer. He was a futuristic visionary who worked with engineers. According to The History Channel, Steve Jobs is said to have envisioned the iPhone during a deep meditation at a famous Buddhist temple he liked to frequent near his home in California.)
The other bonus of Jupiter in ♌Leo is that you will find yourself traveling much more than usual—and that will please you. You can travel for any reason, business or pleasure. The third house is also a contractual house, so you may sign a very lucrative contract at some point in the coming 13 months.
Jupiter will remain in ♌Leo for a little over a year, until July 26, 2027. ♌Leo is a fire sign, and mixes perfectly with your air-sign element. You have so much to look forward to, dear ♊Gemini!
Uranus, one of the big outer planets, recently (on April 25) entered ♊Gemini for a seven-year stay. Uranus is the planet of spontaneity, surprise, chaos, unpredictability, independence, and creativity, and it’s known to be experimental, nontraditional, futuristic, and progressive in outlook. Uranus in ♊your sign might take a little getting used to, especially if you were born in the second half of May, for Uranus is currently hovering near your birthday Sun.
You are known to get bored easily, but that won’t be true any longer, not with Uranus standing by to send you a steady stream of stimulation. In time you will adjust and set the pace to your taste, with rest and rejuvenation built in. The Sun conjoined Uranus last month (May 22), which was your first preview of Uranus. You may have suddenly received news that you needed to respond to quickly. You are naturally flexible and adaptable, so you should ease into this seven-year period far better than most.
As you enter your birthday month, you will still be feeling last month’s May 31 🌕full moon, which will be influential until June 5. That 🌕full moon will bring focus to a romantic or business partnership. It’s time to decide if you want to join forces and work together in a serious way. If you decide to move ahead, you will sign papers together, but don’t dally.
Mercury will turn retrograde on June 29, so make your decision about this partnership as far ahead of that date as you can muster. Mercury will be retrograde from June 29 to July 23, but you always feel the oncoming retrograde 10 days prior to the turnaround date.
If the person you are thinking about is your romantic partner, you may soon become engaged or married. Conversely, if after dating for some time you feel this person is not for you, it’s time to admit that to yourself and move on. If you are already married or in a business partnership, you may start working on a new goal together to give your union fresh vibrancy.
The 🌑new moon in ♊Gemini on June 14 will not be communicating with any other planets, so it is weak. This is unusual. Whenever the 🌑moon (whether new or not) isn’t in touch with any planet, astrologers call that a void-of-course 🌑moon, so wait to act on any important plans. There is one quite positive and special aspect going on at the same time as the 🌑new moon, and that is Uranus in ♊Gemini is in communication with Pluto in ♒Aquarius, in a divine trine harmony. This exceedingly rare vibration might bring you a book deal, movie deal, or some other meaningful breakthrough in the communication arts.
Uranus first made a conjunction to Pluto in 1966, and then later in 2012 and 2013 the two planets clashed. Now they are in harmony again, and all the outcomes refer back to the start of the cycle—their first meeting in 1966. That was a time of societal revolution and new freedom for women (and for men too), so this time in society could mark a period of spiritual awakening.
Many things will be going on behind the scenes for you while Mars remains in ♉Taurus (until June 28), so you won’t be able to collect all the facts you need to make an informed decision about something.
Mars will leave ♉Taurus and move to ♊Gemini on June 28 (until August 11), which will help, but at the same time, your ruling planet Mercury will be retrograde from June 29 to July 23. Life will necessarily slow down, so you will need to be patient. Put off making key decisions, and stick to your routine activities while you wait. Remember that delays will ultimately benefit you. In the meantime, you can be very successful by looking back to clients and colleagues who have always supported you—reconnect with them. You may find a way to work together again.
As you get to the 🌕full moon in ♑Capricorn on June 29, you will be reassessing your finances. You will likely pay bills and attend to regular financial obligations, and at the same time, you might want to see if you can cut out any waste. A person who speaks with an accent in your country or who is based in a foreign country may be quite lucky for you. With the planets sending scrambled vibrations, investigate any opportunity but wait to finalize plans until late July.
