October 2025

October will be a quiet month for most people, especially when compared to September which had 🌕🌑eclipses that brought new, and sometimes jarring, shifts to many people. But for you, October could turn out to be a landmark month. The 🌑new and 🌕full moons will be cutting across career and homes, property and family sectors, so buckle up —this will be a big month.

It will be important to get as much done now as you can because next month Mercury will be retrograde from November 9 to November 29. It is the planet that keeps the world spinning and progressing—it rules contracts and agreements, electronic chips, shipping and logistics, travel, and factual information. When Mercury is retrograde, all these areas suffer. We become forgetful and lose personal treasures, or we rush forward before considering all the details. It is the one aspect that affects everyone uniformly, although I will admit ♊Gemini and ♍Virgo seem to suffer more, as they are ruled by Mercury. Also, if you work in a communications, travel, or shipping-based industry, you will feel the effects of Mercury strongly, too.

But Mercury is only a small part of the problems that are due to come up in November.

On November 4 (one day before you come to the 🌕full moon next month on November 5) Uranus in ♊Gemini, 1 degree, will make an aggressive opposition to Mars in ♐Sagittarius, 1 degree. Uranus is retrograding and heading back to ♉Taurus, but at the time of this opposition, Uranus will not be there yet. It seems you could have unexpected problems completing a task at work or at home.

You could have computer problems or difficulties with someone who works for you at home (like a housekeeper or nanny) or at work (like a team member or assistant). This aspect could bring up scams, identity theft, and problems with unauthorized use of your credit cards, or your checks being intercepted in the mail, washed and then written to the crook with your signature intact. Those are but a few examples, and you may think of other digital-related problems.

On November 20 at the 🌑new moon in ♏Scorpio at 28 degrees, things will go from bad to worse. This time unpredictable Uranus, moving retrograde, and by then touring ♉Taurus at 29 degrees, will oppose the 🌕full moon and Sun in ♏Scorpio at 28 degrees. ♉Taurus and ♏Scorpio are two of the four highly financial signs. The Sun rules your eighth house of other people’s money, so this could bring a large expense at that time.

Additionally, this opposition will cut across your fifth and eleventh houses, which could bring problems in a romantic relationship (not with your spouse or long-term partner) or with a friend, and the situation could be sensitive and emotionally charged—or something could occur with your children. There seems to be too much to do and not enough time. And this will be falling just before Thanksgiving, which, in the US, is a time when families gather to celebrate and begin the end-of-year holiday season, so it will be best not to bring up any subjects you know could upset or anger members of your gathering.

Also, at the 🌑new moon November 20, again, Uranus may bring massive computer problems, identify theft, a person pretending to be you on social media, and more. (These are various examples of some incidents that could come up.) You will need to stay alert. Watch your bank statements and credit card bills closely. Have your data backed up, and use the most current version of malware software.

I want you to do all of your most important holiday shopping in October, especially if you have children on your holiday gift list. As said earlier, next month Mercury will retrograde from November 9 to November 29, and when possible tariffs are added into the mix, you could face empty shelves and dwindling inventory.

If you hope to buy an electronic item for yourself or as a gift, it will be doubly important to avoid this Mercury retrograde period (including days before and after the retrograde). Mercury rules machines and electronic chips, the reason it is never wise to buy a computer, smartphone, car, kitchen appliance, TV, or other electronic device during Mercury retrograde.

You will start to feel the slowdowns and delays as soon as October 30, and the postponements and mix-ups will last at least until November 29. Fortunately most big-box and Internet stores will have major sales in early October, so there is no need to wait for Black Friday, when Mercury will be retrograde. Cyber Monday will be December 1, and although Mercury will have turned direct November 29, December 1 is still too close to Mercury’s turnaround date and will still be acting in an unstable way. Shop in October for best results.

Now let’s look at October, which will be mostly positive and productive—you can get a lot done.

October 6 will host a 🌕full moon in ♈Aries, 14 degrees, lighting your house of home and family. Something is coming to a crest or conclusion regarding your physical living quarters or other property you may own, rent, buy, or sell. If physical property is not your focus, you may be working to assist a family member, whether that be on one of your parents or one of your children—actually, any family member could qualify.

This 🌕full moon October 6 makes no aspects to other planets, which is unusual, but of course, the Sun and 🌕full moon will be in tight communication, which is always the case at a 🌕full moon. This suggests that if you are in love and dating, you might decide to move in together or get engaged and look for a new place where you can start fresh as a couple. This is a superb year for you to marry, as you have good-fortune Jupiter in your seventh house of partnership/marriage (and Jupiter will stay until June 30, 2026).

This 🌕full moon in ♈Aries on October 6 is very entrepreneurial, so you may be looking to buy a house and, therefore, browsing spaces. If you are creative, you may decide to build an A-frame in a region near a ski resort and rent out at as an Airbnb. It’s a good time for you to review property too, as Saturn is currently not in your fourth house of home but will be back in mid-February. Saturn asks you to learn, grow, and step up to take actions that just a few years ago would have been beyond your ability to handle. Once teacher-taskmaster Saturn enters your home sector, Saturn will stay for two years, from February 13, 2026, to April 12, 2028.

At the 🌑new moon October 21 your focus will shift to developments in your career. (I will discuss that in a moment.) You may hear of an interesting job opportunity earlier, on October 8, when Venus (which rulesCapricorn’s tenth house of professional achievement) will sextile benefic Jupiter. That day may help you get the ball rolling. Watch October 8.

On October 14, Venus will again be active, and this time receive friendly electric beams from unpredictable Uranus. This may bring a surprise for a substantial job, so keep your computer and smartphone powered up.

The 🌑new moon on October 21 in ♎Libra at 28 degrees will switch your attention to your profession and bring the most important 🌑new moon of the year to help you advance in your career. The Sun and 🌑new moon will be in your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievements, and Venus will be the highest elevated planet in your chart, which matters—Venus will rise like cream to the very top of your chart, rinsing your entire chart with beauty, grace, and charm this month.

Venus will be your best buddy, for she will bring smooth interactions with others, especially in your career. Venus will be taking up the major role at this 🌑new moon. I feel opportunity will come up if you look for it, and you certainly will be popular with VIPs if you are interviewing for a new position or promotion.

There is one problem. Pluto, currently in your second house of earned income will be in harshsquare” (denoting obstacles) to the Sun and 🌑new moon in your professional sector. I feel if you are offered the job, you may not like the salary. I don’t want you to give up, but this is an indication that you will need to present a good case for why you are worth more.

At this 🌑new moon, you do have extraordinary help from partners, and that could point to your headhunter or the Human Resources (HR) director at the company where you are interviewing. You have Mars and Mercury in direct touch with good-fortune Jupiter at the time, so additionally, an influential friend may intervene for you and speak to the decision makers on your behalf.

Speaking of friends, although you seem to have plenty to think about regarding home and family, plus a possible important career development, you seem to find time to socialize with friends. Energy planet Mars will be in ♏Scorpio all month, ensuring time for fun.

You have one standout day, so be sure to step out: October 27 when Mars in ♏Scorpio reaches out to Jupiter in ♋Cancer. It’s a red-letter day that is sure to please.

Halloween is October 31 and will bring the transiting moon to ♓Pisces. That’s a great sign for you—you blend well with this imaginative, creative sign. The costumes are sure to be fabulous to see. If you have children, accompany them while they patrol the neighborhood to trick-or-treat, and have them home before long. I feel you would enjoy the night.

The only qualm I have is that Mars will be getting close to that fierce opposition to Uranus on November 4. By October 31, these two planets will be “within orb,” meaning that Mars and Uranus will be building energy toward their clash and be mathematically within an area of influence. If invited, go to a party, but make it an early night. If you have even one drink, call a ride-share to go home. I know you are a responsible driver, but not everyone is like you. Besides, alcohol will slow your reaction time, and with this aspect building, you need to be sharp, alert, and quick to avoid a problem on the road. If you are safety conscious, you can go out and have a great time.

Summary

This will be a big month, with possible changes in both your home and career. You may to do quite a bit of juggling to handle it all, but you can, and will, because both areas are important to you. This suggests you may find your dream apartment or house to rent or buy. If you are in the market to buy, this would be the right time to do so, for Saturn has yet to settle into your home sector.

Saturn will enter your home sector in a few months, on February 13, 2026, for a two-year stay, making it harder (but not impossible) to find your ideal space. This month would be a perfect time to find your new apartment or to close on a house, for next month, Mercury will be retrograde from November 9 to November 29—not the time to do so. (You will feel the difficulties of Mercury retrograde as soon as November begins, and possibly even earlier.)

Your career may be entering a completely new start at the 🌑new moon October 21. The 🌑new moon will appear in your prestigious tenth house of professional honors, awards, and achievements. You may be opening the doors of your new business, be given an impressive promotion, or take on a completely new job in another firm that will bring you more influence and power. It is an important moment of the year.

There is a problem with this 🌑new moon October 21, however. Pluto will be in hard angle to the 🌑new moon in your career house. If you are offered a job in a large corporation, someone at the top may seem unconvinced you are worth the salary you are asking for. It will be up to you to make a solid case of why you are worthy of that salary—you can do it.

If, in the negotiations, you feel that you both are oceans apart, then it is better to simply walk away. Console yourself by saying (to yourself), “They are simply not buying what I am selling—they cannot grasp what I am saying. I can find others who will understand the value of my contribution.” If you are going into your own business this month, Pluto’s interference could come as a result of government policies that hamper your ability to make money—Pluto rules the masses of people, government, and the present prevailing laws and policies put upon the people.

Cast a wide net. Despite Pluto, this appears to be a good time to make a professional move. You are ruled by Saturn, giving Saturn prominence and weight at this 🌑new moon. Happily, Jupiter, the good-fortune planet, will be in a very strong and friendly conversation with Saturn (Jupiter and Saturn will make a “trine”—a harmonious and purely divine aspect). Jupiter will be in your partnership house, and this suggests you may need a middleman, collaborator, representative, or expert to unlock the benefits from Jupiter. Simultaneously, Jupiter will directly signal energetic Mars, suggesting that your decisions and actions will likely lead to profit.

This won’t be a month with all work and no play. On October 24 Mercury will be working to enliven your social eleventh house, so you will be making arrangement to see friends and have fun together.

October 27 would be a perfect time to browse apartments or houses if you are thinking of moving. Mars in ♏Scorpio will be in perfect angle to Jupiter in ♋Cancer. Mars is the ruler of your solar fourth house of home. If you want to buy or sell real estate, with Saturn out of your fourth house of home, you can find sunny, large spaces that you adore.

Once Saturn moves into ♈Aries (February 13, 2026, to April 12, 2028, a period of two years), the cost of rent or purchase of a house or condo will likely rise somewhat. As interest rates fall (which pundits think will happen), you can always renegotiate your mortgage to a better rate, if you have chosen a fixed-rate mortgage.

Halloween is a riddle. On one hand, there’s a good chance that that it will be fun. The transiting moon will be in compatible, imaginative ♓Pisces, a water sign that blends beautifully with your earth-signCapricorn Sun.

On the other hand, the evening of October 31 is coming close to November 4, the date of the wild and wooly opposition of Mars to Uranus, which could bring anger and rebellion, as well as rash and impulsive behavior. If you do go to a party, leave early, and take a ride-share car home. Safety needs to come first on this night.

October 2025

October might not be the most dramatic month, but it will allow you to be productive without the overstimulation of last month. There were two 🌕🌑eclipses in September, one in your career house (a 🌕full moon lunar eclipse in ♓Pisces, 15 degrees) and 🌑one in your home and family sector (a 🌑new moon solar eclipse in ♍Virgo, 29 degrees), so you have been busy. You will welcome October because, in contrast, it will be a quieter month where you can follow your own agenda without interference.

The 🌕full moon of October 6 in ♈Aries, 14 degrees, could be a big moment for you, for something you dearly want to happen will come to fruition. All 🌕full moons are influential for four days following the day they appear, so that brings you from October 6 to October 10. This is a good 🌕full moon for you. You may be attending a social event around this time, such as the wedding of a friend, and you may even be in the wedding party. Or you may be going to a seminar or charity event. Mars takes the lead, and since Mars is in your sixth house, it shows that you’ll have a lot to do to get ready. Your to-do list seems quite long.

It will be imperative that you complete all your most important tasks this month—don’t let those items lapse into November. November will be a very trying, difficult month. Your ruling planet Mercury will be retrograde in ♐Sagittarius and ♏Scorpio from November 9 to November 29, but you will feel Mercury’s legendary propensity to slow everything down and cause glitches and postponements for the entire month. Mercury begins to exert its effect two weeks before its retrograde.

You will need to shop for holiday presents in October if you hope to delight the people you are surprising with a gift. Don’t buy anything for yourself in November—you won’t enjoy the purchase as much as you anticipate, and you will only wind up sending the item back. Besides, all the courier companies like UPS and FedEx (as well as the post office) recommend shipping by December 10 to be sure gifts are delivered in time and without premium (and expensive) charges. It looks like Amazon and other big-box stores have astrologers, because they are all doing special holiday sales in early October. Take full advantage.

I wish Mercury retrograde were the only problem with November. It is much worse than that. Uranus, the planet of sudden shock, is heading back to ♉Taurus, and on November 5 Uranus and the 🌕full moon in ♉Taurus will directly oppose Mars and your ruler Mercury in ♐Sagittarius (traveling tightly together). Uranus opposed to Mars is highly explosive, and it either makes people reckless and accident-prone or angry. Uranus opposed to Mercury at an emotional 🌕full moon makes travel go haywire.

Often when Uranus acts up, he tends to calm down by the subsequent 🌑new moon. However, that won’t happen at the 🌑new moon in ♏Scorpio on November 20. Uranus will be even worse than earlier in the month by directly aiming his cannons at the Sun and 🌑new moon in ♏Scorpio. The area you will feel this mayhem is in the office and with work-a-day projects—tasks you do on a daily basis. There is one area in particular to watch.

Uranus rules computers, digital data, A.I., and all tech, so this is where the damage lurks, with bad actors plotting scams, identity and credit card theft, data breaches, and so forth. Uranus rules all things you and I have not even imagined yet, so ask your IT department to be on alert.

That 🌕full moon on November 5 falls in your twelfth house, so November is not a month to have a medical procedure if it isn’t urgent. If it is, then do it, of course. Delaying could bring even worse results. In astrology we have to make risk assessments all the time.

It’s rare that I ever talk about next month, but I feel it is necessary so that you take care of everything this month.

Let’s come back to October now.

The 🌑new moon of October 21 will be in ♎Libra at 28 degrees and light your fifth house of true love. This could usher in a very romantic time. Venus will be in ♎Libra from October 13 to November 6, a perfect place for you. Venus will help bring out your charm, giving you the motivation to refresh your look for the coming season. It looks as though you will be invited to a beautiful event (or have a highly romantic outing) in the days and weeks that follow this 🌑new moon.

You may need to be budget-conscious, however, as the Sun and 🌑new moon will be somewhat in conflict with good-fortune Jupiter in your financial second house. Jupiter is Santa Clause—he’s always a positive force—but he can coax you to spend more than you had planned. I am trying to help you avoid sticker shock when you get your credit card statement. Keep track of your purchases.

This 🌑new moon on October 21, however, can bring more fun with your children than usual in the weeks to come—you might be planning a surprise for them, or perhaps you’re about to take them on a trip that they will enjoy. Additionally, or alternatively, you may be discussing the idea of having a baby now. This is a good time to get serious about that possibility (if that’s your wish).

Your creativity will also become quite strong in the days and weeks that follow the 🌑new moon, so if you have an artistic project, you will shine. Give it all you’ve got—you will come up with very special ideas.

Your career has been testing your ability to adapt to new and ever-changing conditions in your industry. You have hosted Saturn in your tenth house of prestigious professional advancement since March 2023, and Saturn has limited your choices and made you work hard without a lot of reward.

Saturn is now in conversation with good-fortune Jupiter in your financial second house, so I feel you should stay the course. Saturn is known to bestow a gift as he departs a critical area of your chart (like your tenth house), which in this case will happen on February 13. I feel a reward would likely come in the form of a new title or fabulous publicity during the 🌑new moon in ♓Pisces on March 18. If the professional applause and opportunity does not come with rewarding compensation (it could, so stay optimistic), watch the 🌑new moon on July 14, 2026, when I believe your financial picture could brighten.

Summary

You have been working very hard, for since March 2023 you have hosted Saturn in your tenth house of prestigious growth and advancement. You may have accepted an important new position or, if you’re self-employed, agreed to launch a new venture for your current business. This work has required (or will require) time, attention, and that special touch that only you can provide. Saturn is known to hold your feet to the fire and asks that you pay attention exclusively to the matter at hand, at the exclusion of just about everything else.

Saturn moved out of this area of your chart temporarily from May 24 to September 1 to give you a preview of life with Saturn in a new place, ♈Aries, in your eleventh house of friendship. This is an easier place to host Saturn because it is not a house “on the angles” of your chart. Angles align with one of the key points on a compass—north, south, east, or west—and on those points, planets moving over them act like wild stallions, in a very powerful way. You discovered this truth beginning March 2023, the month when Saturn first entered your prestigious career sector.

Having Saturn in ♈Aries should be easier for you to handle in 2026, for ♈Aries is a fire sign that blends beautifully with air-signGemini. You had a small rest from career demands at the end of May through August when Saturn moved to ♈Aries for a short spell, but as of September 1 the career pressures were back. Although Saturn moved back to your professional tenth house on September 1, he will only be there until February 13, 2026. Once you reach mid-February, you will be done with Saturn’s challenges, and you can carry the wisdom he imparted to you over the coming nearly three decades. Saturn will not be back to the professional area of your chart until April 2052.

While Saturn is in ♈Aries (starting next February), you may choose to do a humanitarian activity or work on a charity in your spare time, or you may decide to help a close friend who is going through a hard time and will appreciate your friendship and wise advice.

On top of having Saturn in your lofty career and reputation sector, you currently have Mars in your work-a-day sector (sixth house), adding to your daily workload since September 22. Fortunately, your assignments will lighten up after Mars leaves ♏Scorpio and enters ♐Sagittarius on November 4.

If any sign of the zodiac dearly needs some fun, it’s you. The universe agrees, and it will send you a highly social 🌕full moon on Monday, October 6. You may be invited to a party or wedding over the preceding weekend, October 4 and 5. If you don’t go to someone else’s party, you may host a party of your own, and with Venus gliding through your home sector until October 13, your party is sure to be quite beautiful and the talk of the town.

On October 8 Venus will receive glittering rays from benefic Jupiter, so you could not wish for better aspects for a gathering. You will feel this over the weekend of October 4 and 5 as the aspect builds, as well as a few days after the October 6 🌕full moon. Alternatively (or additionally), you may go to a business event, such as a convention or seminar, and find it enjoyable. You might meet new colleagues who prove helpful in the future. One thing is certain: No matter what is on your agenda, you will be mixing with many people during this 🌕full moon in ♈Aries on October 6, and many of those you meet will be self-made business owners (or those who have made it to the top echelon of corporate business). These people might inspire you with their accomplishments.

The 🌕full moon of October 6 will fall in your solar house of hopes and wishes, so you may see something you have dearly wanted to happen crystallize before your eyes during this time. This could be a landmark moment.

A special day for romantic love and fun will be Tuesday, October 14, when Venus in ♎Libra will receive a golden beam from Uranus in ♊Gemini. Surprises abound, so this would be a perfect day for a first date. Venus will be gliding through your romantic fifth house of true love. If you matched with someone promising on a dating app, this could be a great day to meet in person. Choose to meet in a pretty neighborhood pastry shop. Conversation will be lively, and you might find you have much in common with your date.

The special moment of the month will arrive on October 21 with a 🌑new moon in your fifth house of new love, true love, and an area of your chart that also rules pregnancy and care of children. This area of your chart also covers your imagination and propensity for creativity. A 🌑new moon opens a new chapter and will affect you for as long as six months, but is strongest just after it appears (for the first two weeks).

There are many ways to enjoy this 🌑new moon. If you are single, make it a point to circulate. If you are attached, explore new or interesting activities that would be fun for both you and your sweetheart. Venus will be in your house of true love too, so this is perfect! Venus will be in ♎Libra from October 13 to November 6, which is divine for you.

At the very same time as this lovely, romantic 🌑new moon on October 21, you have a lot of business aspects starting up, too. Your ruler Mercury and action Mars will signal Jupiter in your second house of personal earned income. Jupiter will also be in support of Saturn and Neptune in your tenth house of professional honors, awards, and achievement. Something special is developing around a work assignment that could add to your prestige and reputation—and the opportunity may also pay you well. You will want to investigate it! With good-fortune Jupiter in your second house of earned income this year, new ventures have strong potential for profit. Be sure to follow up on any proposals or leads you receive now.
