December 2025

The month starts off quietly but will pick up steam nicely as you go along. It is the time prior to your birthday, and this is the period that the ancient astrologers wrote was the ideal time to think about your life and decide what you’d like to change and what you would like to achieve by the time you reach the end of the coming year, in this case, by December 2026.

Socrates famously said, “The unexamined life is not worth living.” By that he meant that one should regularly examine values, actions, and viewpoints to live the good life. Socrates felt we often hang on to outdated thinking that does not hold up to critical examination. Goals sometimes need to be updated too—some of your old ones may seem too juvenile now. Before you reach your birthday, spend a little time thinking about revising your goals and beliefs, if you feel that is warranted, and if you like, engage others in your process. Socrates believed in the value of dialogue and debate—he felt it was the way to enlightenment

Now let’s turn to the 🌕full moon of December 4 that will shine in ♊Gemini in your sixth house. You may be finishing up an assignment or hiring a new person at home (such as a nanny or housekeeper) or at work (perhaps a team member or assistant). Mercury is no longer retrograde, as of November 29, so it is a good time to announce your choice.

The sixth house also rules your health, so if you’ve not been paying attention to the care of your body, you may come down with a bad cold. (Oh no!) Do everything you can to shore up your immunity before you reach the 🌕full moon period, which will span December 4 to December 9. As you keep reading, you will see that December puts a large spotlight on caring for your health.

Put a gold star on your calendar on December 6 when Mercury and Jupiter will be in gorgeous sync. It’s a great day to negotiate, make a presentation, or even to take a short trip.

By December 10, however, Mercury will oppose Uranus, so if you have planned a trip for that day, possibly to see a client, do your best to postpone it. This is not a favorable time to go anywhere for any reason, whether for personal or business reasons. Mercury is a travel planet, and unpredictable Uranus will challenge Mercury. Leave a space of days around this date for December 10 will be under the rule of Uranus.

Mercury also rules contractual matters, so a negotiation, agreement, or a project that deals with communication is likely to suddenly go off the rails on or near December 10 until you find a way to fix things (again, December 6 will be good, December 10, not good). If you can, wait until Mars enters ♑Capricorn on December 15, for that is when you will have much more influence and control over how things go.

The 🌑new moon of December 19 will appear in ♐Sagittarius, 28 degrees, and at the time you’ll have the Sun, 🌑new moon, Venus, and Mercury all crowded into your twelfth house. This is the house of confinement, and many people chose to have a procedure or surgery in the week between Christmas and New Years, when the world settles down to a whisper.

The twelfth house rules hospitals, rehab centers, psychological therapy sessions, nursing homes, and physical therapy centers. It would be an excellent time to take care of any medical or mental concern that you may have. You seem to be integrating with medical personnel, so if you are not the patient, you may be acting as the advocate for a friend or family member.

Travel seems possible in the second half of December thanks to good-fortune Jupiter’s lovely beam to Saturn, your ruler, and to Neptune, both in your third house of short-distance travel. In terms of romance, this could be quite a lovely trip taken with your spouse or your established sweetheart. Even a quick trip could be fun, filled with enchanted evenings talking over dinner, getting quality time together, and growing closer. If your trip is to visit family, you will enjoy spending time with them too, especially a sibling or cousin.

When it comes to romance, attached ♑Capricorns have a slight edge. Jupiter is in your marriage sector, making the period from June 9, 2025, to June 30, 2026, the best time in over 12 years to wed. If you’ve been with your sweetheart for a long time, there’s no reason to wait! As Beyonce would say, “Put a ring on it!”

All ♑Capricorns have lovely romantic aspects coming—including singles—because Mars will now be in ♑Capricorn and add to your sexy, attractive persona. Mars will be in ♑Capricorn for the first time in two years, from December 15 to January 23. The frosting on the cake will be Venus’s entry into ♑Capricorn too, which will happen from December 24 to January 17. Use some of that holiday gift money you receive on new wardrobe items—they will be madly flattering with your aspects.

Mars loves to be with Venus, for these are the cosmic lovers. Their job, when together, is to set off the sparks of love. Lo and behold, they will meet in conjunction on January 7, and you will feel the energy building in late December. The best of the best: I have examined January, and it is absolutely glowing! It is one of the finest months of 2026, and because many planets will be in ♑Capricorn, you will love it most of all.

Turning back to December, your favorite holiday will be late Christmas Eve and Christmas Day when the transiting moon will be in ♓Pisces, a sign that blends beautifully with your earth element. ♓Pisces is the sign of compassion and spirituality, and for some it is religious, the perfect place for the transiting moon to be.

January is so special, I am positively gleeful about it—you have plenty to look forward to. Some ♑Capricorns will get engaged on New Year’s Day (even if it happens at midnight when the fireworks are in the night sky). You will be getting close to the 🌕full moon in ♋Cancer, lighting your solar seventh house of marriage, January 3, and you will feel it by New Year’s Eve. If you are already wed, your spouse may surprise you with good news. It would be a great way to start 2026.

Summary

Last month tested everyone’s patience. Mercury was retrograde and finally reoriented itself to move direct late last month. That was not the biggest problem, however—Uranus, the planet of unpredictability, was acting like a wild child throughout November, causing digital and computer problems and aviation to go haywire. Uranus may have brought problems financially too, with difficulty in regard to identity theft or other monetary scams. There was little room for relief. By December, the planets have finally calmed down, so the delays and back-tracking will end, and the pace will pick up.

Since last month on November 4, Mars has been stirring up a number of projects at the office and at home, so your to-do list has grown. You’ve been busy! This will keep up until December 15, the date Mars will finally leave this part of your chart, and you will be able to exhale.

It appears you have been working hard to meet a deadline of December 4, and it has required a lot of energy. If you need an extension, you may be able to hand it in by Tuesday morning December 9. It seems you would not be able to delay things any further than that.

If you come down with a cold over the 🌕full moon December 4 (minus two days, plus four days), cancel your schedule for the coming days and rest immediately. A 🌕full moon can help you recover quickly but only if you stop and attend to getting well. As I noted in the main body of your forecast, this month does put a good deal of emphasis on taking steps to stay healthy.

You might decide to take care of a surgery or procedure you need between Christmas and New Years. It’s a quiet time, so many people choose this period. For you, the timing would be excellent—very favorable!

If you need to take a business trip on December 10, see if you can cancel. Either move it up to December 6 (a stellar day to have any meeting) or wait until Mars moves into ♑Capricorn, from December 15 onward.

By postponing travel and other matters, you will not lose any standing in your firm or industry. In early December, a golden triangle is appearing in the night sky, linking Mercury in your eleventh house to Saturn and Neptune in your third house of travel. Mercury, Saturn, and Neptune will link to good-fortune Jupiter in your seventh house of partnerships, completing a perfect triangle of harmony. This suggests that, indeed, you can make a deal with a client after the 🌑new moon, December 19.

Also this month, Neptune will go direct on December 10, having been retrograde since July 4. Neptune rules your third house of contractual matters and negotiation. As said, December 10 has a simultaneous aspect, Mercury square Uranus, which is not favorable. Wait until after December 15 to have talks and presentations.

The 🌑new moon December 19 in ♐Sagittarius will also allow you a measure of solitude and time with those who mean the most to you. From this point on, in your personal life, you will likely favor a quiet, intimate setting, rather than attending a large party.

Backtracking a few days, the good news to report is that action planet Mars will move into ♑Capricorn on December 15 until January 23, making this one of the most important periods in two years for you. You will have more control, especially in January, when the tide will most noticeably turn to your favor. January will be absolutely stellar for you—a glorious month.

Be ready with a list of things you want to accomplish, for you will be a virtual wizard at accomplishing what you want to with Mars behind you. Not only will Mars help you at work, having Mars in ♑your sign will heighten your confidence, courage, and energy. There will be another bonus to having Mars in ♑Capricorn, this time in your personal life. You will be viewed as more attractive and charming, so your love life could pick up, too.

Venus will move into ♑Capricorn on December 24 and stay until January 17. Venus and Mars are the cosmic lovebirds, and their job, when together, is to ignite the spark of love. To have both Venus and Mars in ♑your sign is fantastic—to have a conjunction coming January 7 is incredible!

Of all the holidays, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will please you the most. The transiting moon will be in soft, spiritual ♓Pisces, a sign that blends beautifully with ♑yours, reflecting the true spirit of the season.

Next month, with a plethora of planets in ♑Capricorn, all getting along so beautifully with one another (which rarely happens on this level!), you have so much to look forward to!

December 2025

You made it through November, a tricky month that had a number of twists and turns you did not expect due to Uranus, planet of unpredictability, situated at the wrong place at the wrong time. Everyone had tough moments in November, and having Mercury, your ruling planet, asleep at the wheel (Mercury was retrograde until November 29), didn’t help. That was then, this is now, and life in December will be a big improvement and even offer you something you’ve not had in some time—fun!

Almost the minute you step into December you will be greeted by the 🌕full moon in ♊Gemini, 13 degrees, on December 4. It’s a supermoon too, which means it is orbiting closer than usual to Earth, so if you look up you will see it has quite beautiful luminosity. ( The best time to look for it will be December 4 at 6:14 PM EST.) This will be the only 🌕full moon in ♊Gemini of the year and bring something of enormous importance to you to culmination.

You may be working with an expert or collaborator you had hired (or will at the time of this 🌕full moon) to work on a major project. You will be in charge, and you will select this person because they can help you express your inner style and inner identity. The 🌕full moon will partner with Venus, so this project may have to do with aesthetics. Mercury will take the lead, and thankfully, Mercury will no longer be retrograde, but Uranus will oppose Mercury, and that could give you a sudden, unexpected glitch—perhaps a difference of opinion may arise—that you both will need to work through.

I would not worry about this possible impasse, however, because simultaneously, you will have a glittering golden triangle in the night sky. Jupiter in your house of personal finances, income, and salary will send a beam to Saturn, planet of stability, and Neptune, planet of vision and dreams, both in your tenth house of prestige and professional advancement. Completing the triangle, Saturn and Neptune in ♓Pisces will join hands with Jupiter in ♋Cancer, and all three planets will reach out to your ruler Mercury in ♏Scorpio, currently traveling in your sixth house of work projects, cresting in a perfect, glimmering water-sign triangle of breathtaking harmony.

You may have noticed we had quite a number of golden triangles this year, but you can’t always get them—they actually are pretty rare. I just finished writing every word of my annual Year Ahead 2026 calendar, and I noticed that we won’t have nearly as many golden triangles next year. They are rare and quite a gift, so I hope you appreciate the uncommon specialness of this one.

I love that your ruler Mercury in you work-a-day assignment sector will be holding down one of the three points of the triangle. Mercury will have such strong support from Saturn, Neptune, and Jupiter, I feel you will be able to make an excellent long-term choice. 🌕Full moons bring decisions, so watch what you are about to decide—this 🌕full moon says the decision is close to your heart.

I feel you are more likely to make a decision that is career-related at this 🌕full moon December 4 (allow an extra five days of influence to December 10), but I could be wrong about that. It is just as possible that you will be getting engaged or married under these magical aspects.

At the 🌑new moon December 19 you seem to hesitate about your decision, questioning yourself about whether you are about to make the right decision. Saturn will be square the Sun, 🌑new moon, and Venus, reflecting that you may have to spend a large sum of money in regard to this impending alliance, and this may concern you. You seem under a lot of pressure from all sides in life, mostly financially, and when that happens, you tend to freeze a little, unable to make a firm decision. You simply need a little time to think. As a ♊Gemini, talking with a friend you trust could help—you are very verbal by nature, and by describing the situation you may have a flash of insight—without your friend needing to say a word!

When the 🌑new moon in ♐Sagittarius at 28 degrees arrives on December 19, Jupiter in ♋Cancer will still be working with Saturn in ♓Pisces in a trine, one of the most sterling aspects at play at the time, so make adjustments, and take time to think quietly. Your income and position in your industry seem solid and protected. You may need to change some of the rules and how you structure the relationship, but the point is, take your time. With no one pushing you to hurry, you will feel confident when you do announce your decision.

As you get to the end of the month, you seem more relaxed. By Christmas Eve, December 24, the planets that had been applying tension to you will have fallen, almost miraculously, into harmony. On this day, the transiting moon will be in ♒Aquarius most of the day, so things will go right for you. Despite your fears that the holiday would fly out of your hands, you will see that, indeed, you’ll be able to get things right.

On Christmas Day, the moon will transit into ♓Pisces, a tender, compassionate place for the moon to be, reflecting the true spirit of the season.

By New Year’s Eve, December 31, the moon will be in ♊Gemini, so you will be glad to be able to celebrate with the person you care about most.

In just a matter of days as the New Year opens, you will come across the 🌕full moon in ♋Cancer on January 3, and you will feel the moon growing in strength. This will be an outstanding 🌕full moon, brimming with sugar and spice, and it could bring you a valuable gift or cash—a nice way to start the New Year.

Summary

The skies have been rife with planetary traffic, and judging by what you experienced last month in November, December will be an improvement. Mercury, your ruler, was retrograde, but that was the least of the problems. Uranus went rogue, and you needed to stay alert in November as life kept changing faster than a moving kaleidoscope, and manhole covers were blowing up on all sides.

A goal, wish, decision, relationship, or activity that is dearly important to you is coming to culmination at the 🌕full moon in ♊Gemini of December 4. You may be keen on committing to drawing up plans for a romantic or business alliance, as one possibility. Be careful, though—Uranus, the planet of all things unexpected, will oppose your ruler Mercury on December 10, making your best-laid plans to possibly go haywire. It will be fine to discuss your vision of the future together, but do not seal plans until January, which will be a stellar month. It appears you need time to think through your next step, that is all.

You may not be willing to hear this advice, however, for by the 🌑new moon December 19 in ♐Sagittarius, you will be intent on making your forever promise in marriage or in regard to a business tie, and in either case, sign with the proper paperwork. Although the possibility of financial gain will be strong (in either case, whether you join forces in love or business), the timing is simply not ideal. You and your intended partner appear to have different visions of how you will proceed, so assumptions and views need to be discussed in greater depth. Wait until January when more ideal vibrations will be at play. You will begin the relationship under aspects that will be ideal—and you will feel you are standing under a celebratory blizzard of golden confetti.

If you feel your career has been lagging and not showing the progress you had hoped, the problem might be because Neptune, the ruler of your tenth house of prestigious career advancement, has been retrograde since July 4. Neptune will go direct this month on December 10. Watch the days surrounding this date for possible heartwarming news.

Mercury will be quite the socialite, meeting in a friendly supportive way with good-fortune Jupiter (in a heavenly trine) on December 6. Mercury will also be meeting with stabilizing Saturn (in another trine) on December 7. A few days later, Mercury will have a cordial talk with imaginative, creative Neptune (in yet another trine) on December 11, and then meet with transformative, financially rejuvenating Pluto in an opportunity-oriented sextile on December 13. These are all very favorable dates for you.

Make plans for New Year’s Eve, December 31, when the transiting moon will be in ♊Gemini, allowing you to plan a joyous, perfect celebration to welcome 2026. Be with the person or people in your life who are dearest to you.
