You have been working hard ever since Mars entered your work assignment sector on June 28, and as you enter August, the work load continues but only until August 11. That is when the pace will simmer down, and you will be relieved to see it.
You need a break, but I suggest you not go away in August. If you did not take your vacation earlier (in May, June, or July), then plan to go in September. You will be so glad you were at home base in August. I will explain later why!
There’s a lot to unpack, for we have two major 🌑🌕eclipses in August—the first, a 🌑solar new moon eclipse on August 12 in ♌Leo, and the second, a 🌕full moon lunar eclipse in ♓Pisces on August 27-28. I will describe the two 🌑🌕eclipses in detail, but I need to start at the top of the month and give you some background and context about the overall environment you are working in first.
Yet before I even get to the theme of the month, I want to mention August 6. This day brings the Sun in sync with Saturn (a trine), and Saturn is your ruler, giving this day extra weight and favor to you. Here you have an opportunity to make a promise that will stand the test of time. It could be a personal or professional promise or a contractual agreement, but either way, it’s a great day.
Now, let me give you the fantastic news.
Jupiter, the good luck planet, entered ♌Leo and your eighth house of other people’s money for the first time in 12 years a little over a month ago on June 30. That kicked off what is to be your finest financial year in 12 years. Jupiter will reside in your eighth house of other people’s money until next year, July 25, 2027.
The eighth house rules finances that are not covered by fees, salary, and other earned income. It is money that comes to you through a side door, so I will list some of them here for you.
Your glowing eighth house could cover funds from a bank loan or hefty venture capital for your start up. It could be money gained through a contest or prize, by inheritance, or through a court settlement or divorce decree. You might get a scholarship, generous university financial aid, or money from a grant. You may be approved for a mortgage or profit from the sale of valuable property. Money could come to you as a bonus, commission, royalty, or even from a tax refund. If you own your own business, you may gain a lucrative client.
These are some of the areas the eighth house rules, and you may be able to come up with others. If you already have money, you may marry someone who is also wealthy and double your holdings. There are many possibilities.
I should add as an aside, occasionally luck will bounce from one house 180º straight across the sky to its opposite house, which would be your second house of salary and income. That means you may get a generous raise or fee for a project, so I can’t discount that possibility. It is not common, but it could happen.
The universe is trying to make sure you notice that excellent financial possibilities are in store for you. As a ♑Capricorn, you are a careful investor, so you will be able to manage your incoming wealth in the best way—conservatively, carefully, and wisely, and not through get-rich-quick schemes.
The first indication that this was to be an extraordinary financial year may have come late last month on the 🌕full moon in ♒Aquarius on July 29. That 🌕full moon put a spotlight on your salary, but that was not the main event. The same day brought the perfect alignment of the Sun and Jupiter in ♌Leo, which heralded the Luckiest Day of the Year.
This is an annual event and always takes place in a different sign and place in your chart. This time it lit your eighth house of other people’s money, the same place Jupiter is residing in for a year, affecting the types of funds that eighth house rules, as mentioned above.
I wrote about this important event last month, and you may have found a way to use this day to your full advantage. If you were in negotiations for a major job, you may have put in your bid on that day—when it came to financial dealings, you had an enormous competitive edge.
The July 29 meeting of the Sun and Jupiter day is throwing off fairy dust, which can still land on you up to August 4. The fact that a 🌕full moon coincided with the alignment of the Sun and Jupiter meant the 🌕full moon could, and did, amplify its effects.
There is no predestination in astrology. The way it works is that when you have great aspects, you need to make an effort to use them by taking action. You need to demonstrate to the universe your intent. We always know when they are coming up, so you have time to decide how to use your glowing aspects. This one gave you an enormous competitive edge when the matter revolves around financial dealings.
Now let’s get to the 🌑🌕eclipses.
We have a 🌑new moon solar eclipse on August 12 in ♌Leo (20º), the same part of your chart that was accented during the Sun-Jupiter conjunction on July 29—and it is a peach of an 🌑eclipse. With four (!) friendly heavenly bodies filling your financial eighth house of other people’s money—the Sun, the 🌑new moon solar eclipse, Jupiter, and Mercury—that’s plenty of planetary power, and the August 12 🌑eclipse will bring financial news and opportunity.
I love that your ruling planet, Saturn, will be in perfect trine position to both Jupiter and Mercury in your eighth financial house at the time of the August 12 🌑eclipse. Saturn is based in your home and family sector, so if you were looking to buy, rent, renovate, or sell property, this 🌑eclipse would likely be able to help you get started.
I also love that on the day prior, August 11 (and still exerting power on August 12), Venus, which rules your solar tenth house of career reputation, will be in a heavenly trine to Uranus, the planet of surprise. You may receive important praise or a sudden promotion from a VIP and be happily shocked. You will have no notice this good news is coming. Stay optimistic.
Watch August 17 as well when Venus in ♎Libra will work with Jupiter in ♌Leo to boost your career and also likely bring you a generous sum.
Now let’s turn to what is happening with Mercury. I see that Mercury will be particularly chatty with other planets, and Mercury rules your sixth house of work assignments—you will be busy but not in a pressured way.
Here are some dates involving Mercury in ♌Leo to circle on your calendar.
August 12 (the same day as the 🌑solar eclipse in ♌Leo): Mercury in ♌Leo will sextile Uranus in ♊Gemini. Financial news may come to you suddenly, unexpectedly, and make you positively gleeful.
August 13: Mercury in ♌Leo will sextile Venus in ♎Libra in your tenth house of career advancement. Money could easily find a way to your door thanks to the excellent work you have done on a recent project.
August 15: Mercury will conjunct Jupiter in ♌Leo. One of your very best days (along with August 12) to hear that a generous sum of money is heading your way. This is a Saturday, however, so you may hear news on Monday, August 17. (On Friday, August 14, the moon is void all day, so that’s out.)
Now we turn to the second 🌕eclipse, August 27-28, a 🌕full moon lunar eclipse in ♓Pisces (5º). It will fall in your third house of travel, transportation, and contractual matters. That house also rules your brother, sister, and cousin. Unpredictable Uranus in ♊Gemini will be in sharp, hard 90-degree angle to the Sun in ♍Virgo and to the 🌕full moon lunar eclipse in ♓Pisces.
Uranus is in your work-a-day sector, so it appears a project that is coming down the pike might suddenly have its wheels come off. It is alternatively possible that a trusted worker who reports to you will unexpectedly depart for any number of reasons. This will leave you shorthanded and racing to find an extra pair of hands. Obviously, it would be best not to be away on vacation at this point—this is a difficult 🌕eclipse that will require quick action.
It is also possible you and your sibling or cousin won’t see eye to eye on a matter (be careful what you say) or that a client who was to sign a contract is asking for changes at the eleventh hour, threatening the deal. Since this is a travel house, I do not suggest you travel on the 🌕eclipse—leave a space of days after it occurs too before you pack and go anywhere. This 🌕eclipse falls near the Labor Day weekend in the US, a time many people take off to vacation on what we call the last weekend of summer in the northern hemisphere. But this time the start of the weekend seems a bit fraught.
Due to a 🌕full moon eclipse in water-sign ♓Pisces (which rules the sea) on August 27-28, I suggest you keep an eye on your home and possible problems with water, such as a flood in your basement, or water that might be tainted with chemicals. (In the southern hemisphere, watch for sudden snow, too.)
Mars will be in ♋Cancer, the sign that rules the home, and Mars also rules ♈Aries, which is the sign of YOUR solar fourth house of home. Mars will be in hard angle to Saturn and Neptune, both currently IN ♈Aries and your home sector. Mars will be in early degrees of ♋Cancer and within the mathematical sphere of influence of Saturn and Neptune and could bring a water-oriented event that you would need to find a solution for quickly. Mars will finally leave ♋Cancer by September 27, but this month is the more critical period of the two months, so be alert.
Your sixth house, where the perpetrator of the difficulties, Uranus, is based, also rules your health. More specifically, the actions you take to remain well and to build strength and fitness. You might have a health concern at this time.
You’re not alone having to deal with this 🌕lunar eclipse. Everyone of every sign will be affected by this 🌕eclipse in a different area in their lives, depending on their zodiac sign.
You will be focused on your finances in August, for you will find yourself in a remarkably positive time. You always make sure you are managing your investments skillfully and, of course, you want to see growth. Your strong concentration on money started technically last month on a gorgeous 🌕full moon in ♒Aquarius on July 29. Almost all the planets were cheerfully chirping to one another in a rare show of unity and harmony, a vibration of encouragement and luck that they shared with you. For once, things were going well, and news was, and will continue to be, upbeat.
On the very same day of that 🌕full moon at the end of last month on July 29, Jupiter conjoined the Sun, bringing everyone the Luckiest Day of the Year. For you, the news may have been that a substantial sum of money was due to arrive. If you didn’t get the news yet, it is likely to be delivered in the first days of August.
Finances are to get even better by the 🌑eclipse of August 12, when four heavenly bodies will gather in ♌Leo: Jupiter, Mercury, the Sun, and 🌑new moon solar eclipse. You may be fostering a large business deal or opening amicable talks in the process of dividing property in a divorce or at the end of a business partnership.
If you sent in an insurance claim, the response from the company is apt to be positive, and even possibly generous. If you are petitioning for money from a bank or venture capitalist, your request for a large infusion of cash is likely to be approved. You are so lucky mid-month you might even get a large tax refund, or win a charity raffle.
The second 🌕eclipse this month on August 27-28 will not be easy, nothing like the generous quality of the August 12 🌑eclipse. It will arrive as a 🌕full moon lunar eclipse in ♓Pisces. It appears a work project will go unexpectedly wrong, with details going haywire, and it will be up to you to figure out what to do. It could be that the team is not working in tandem with one another, causing a work flow blockage. You might have to spend money (most likely the firm’s money) to fix the problem.
Guard against water damage in your home at month’s end near the 🌕full moon lunar eclipse August 27-28 in ♓Pisces (which rules water). And it would also be best not to travel at that time.
There is no reason to stress out about money as your own income is being protected by Jupiter. Money will continue to flow generously to you for many months, and if you save some of it, your bank account will continue to grow appreciably. If you need to spend now to fix a problem, do it, for that’s why it’s there—for you to use.
At the 🌕eclipse August 27-28, watch your health, and be good to yourself. Don’t have an over-scheduled agenda, for you will need to drop what you are doing to attend to news that comes up.
Two 🌑🌕eclipses are on the way—the first one will be a 🌑new moon solar eclipse in ♌Leo (20º) on August 12, and the second will be a 🌕full moon lunar eclipse in ♓Pisces (5º) on August 27-28. As you might know by now, 🌑🌕eclipses are some of the most dramatic of all celestial events because they bring sudden insight and information along with rapid change. The first 🌑eclipse will be very beneficial for you, and I will describe everything in a minute, but first let’s look at August from the start of the month.
As you ease into August, you may have something to be very happy about. Only one month ago good-fortune Jupiter moved into ♌Leo, a fire sign that blends beautifully with your air-sign ♊Gemini Sun. Jupiter is now in your third house of communication, which rules the written and spoken word.
You are known to be talented in all the communication arts—this is one of the skills you were born with as a ♊Gemini. For example, you may be a writer, editor, or public speaker, or work in sales, public relations, translation, or research and fact-checking. Also included in the third house is work in social media, television (as a producer or host), podcasting, advertising, agenting, and creating electronic gadgets, websites, apps, and software development.
♊Gemini rules domestic travel, the post office and the mail, overnight and express shipping, messengers, and teaching (grade school through high school), along with many forms of transportation—automotive, rail, bus, and short-distance aviation. (♐Sagittarius rules overseas travel and transport, and ♓Pisces rules cruise ships.)
Even if you don’t work in one of these perfect-for-you fields, every job in every industry involves the need to skillfully master all forms of communication, along with the ability to negotiate, debate, and finalize contractual agreements. Now that you have Jupiter in ♌Leo for the first time in 12 years, you will become sophisticated in one or more of these communication arts. Opportunities to grow and use your talent and expertise will come in many forms.
Last month on July 29 there was a friendly 🌕full moon in ♒Aquarius lighting up your international ninth house, which falls opposite your third house (the place Jupiter is positioned). Both the third house and ninth house deal with communication—the ninth house especially emphasizes publishing, broadcasting, the digital world, speaking opportunities, and legal matters, so you may have been offered a chance to make a public appearance, received some superb publicity for your excellent work, or were told your book was being published, as some examples.
The 🌕full moon of July 29 arrived along with something else—something extraordinary—the alignment of Jupiter and the Sun, marking the Luckiest Day of the Year. Both Jupiter and the Sun fell in your third house that rules all the areas I have listed. All 🌕full moons have an area of influence of five days after they appear, so you may still feel the benefits of that 🌕full moon in the first days of August.
When Jupiter makes a journey to a new sign, he wants his appearance in that sign to be vivid enough for you to notice so you can use the new energy being directed to you to your advantage. Astrology has nothing to do with predestination or fortune-telling. I can tell you the cycles of the planets and when to act and when to hold back. It’s up to you to find a way to harness Jupiter’s energy to your benefit. If you do, you will have the competitive edge. In that respect, you partner with the universe and show the universe your intent. The universe is listening, dear ♊Gemini.
Now, in case you’ve been preoccupied and missed reading my June and July reports for you, you may not have been aware of Jupiter’s entry into ♌Leo on June 30 or known to take advantage of the Luckiest Day of the Year on July 29. But you will have another, bigger opportunity from the universe this month.
It will arrive in the form of a powerful 🌑new moon solar eclipse on August 12 in ♌Leo (20º) to light your third house of communication and travel. 🌑Solar eclipses take a 🌑new moon and triple its strength—and this 🌑eclipse will be as sweet as sugar, packed with benefits for you. I have rarely seen an 🌑eclipse like this one.
Saturn in ♈Aries will be beautifully oriented to this 🌑eclipse and will offer his gifts of stability—you can build a foundation for a new venture or relationship. Involvement in clubs and community will be lucky for you since Saturn will be in ideal angle to your ruling planet, Mercury, as well as to Jupiter. Mixing and mingling can lead to tips for chances to use your skills and, at the same time, bring in a generous fee.
Right along with this 🌑eclipse, a golden triangle will appear in the night sky, linking Uranus in ♊Gemini (your personality), Venus in ♎Libra (your fifth house of love, popularity, and creativity), and Pluto in ♒Aquarius (your ninth house of communication). If you’ve been looking for new sources of income but to no avail, the universe may make a correction now, and all kinds of opportunities will likely start to come up (after August 12)—and they will come in droves.
On another topic, Mars, the action planet, will enter ♋Cancer and your second house of earned income on August 11 to stay until September 27. This will increase your expenses and spending, so making more money will be a priority for you. Once Mars moves into ♌Leo on September 27, until November 25, the powerful emphasis on communication and travel will come up again.
One day that will be simply spectacular for you will be August 15 when your ruling planet, Mercury, will be conjunct Jupiter in ♌Leo. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I am again going to say that a communications project will come up. This would be a fabulous day to sign a contract, debut your new book, appear in the news (through publicity), unveil your advertising campaign, or pitch an idea to a client.
Now we arrive at this month’s second 🌕eclipse—the 🌕full moon lunar eclipse on August 27-28 in ♓Pisces (5º), which will light your tenth house of prestigious professional awards and advancements. The problem is, Uranus in ♊Gemini will tightly square the 🌕full moon in ♓Pisces and the Sun in ♍Virgo (the Sun will be found in your fourth house of home). This will be a highly tense 🌕full moon eclipse. A floodlight of information will surface, causing a situation to culminate or conclude.
The involvement of the 🌕full moon lunar eclipse seems to point to an additional expense you will need to cover as a result of the news you will hear. That, of course, would come at a bad time, for as mentioned before, it will be a time when your expenses are already running high. The Sun’s involvement might involve a trip (not too far from home, such as the distance between Boston and New York). Alternatively, it could have to do with a communications project or your health.
It is possible an important leader or major manager in your firm will suddenly leave without notice. This will be an intense 🌕eclipse, so keep your schedule light—the last thing you will need is a packed schedule at a time when you have to turn on a dime and find a quick remedy.
Mars, in a very positive position to this 🌕eclipse, will do what he can to motivate you to find a good solution. Mars will be in your money house, and although you will likely have to spend a sum as a result of news you receive, Mars will help you to find the funds you need.
You may have already felt the message of this 🌕eclipse last month, as 10 percent of readers feel an 🌕eclipse one month to the day earlier (July 27-28), plus five days, or you may fall into the 15 percent of readers who don’t feel the effects of an 🌕eclipse until one month to the day later (also plus five days), bringing you to September 27-28. A full 75 percent will likely feel this 🌕eclipse on August 27-28 (depending on your time zone), plus five days. Dear ♊Gemini, we will all feel this 🌕eclipse, so we will all be in the same boat—lay low and see what comes up.
As this month opens, you may have been the recipient of very good news from the 🌕full moon that appeared at the end of last month, July 29. That 🌕full moon lit your ninth house of international travel and relationships, so you might have heard that you are about to take a trip for work (likely) or will simply go on a leisurely vacation (a little less likely).
Many ♊Gemini are gearing up to go back to university, while others will be deeply involved in a communications project involving writing, speaking, producing, editing, translating, or doing fact-checking research. Then there are those hardworking ♊Gemini who will burn the midnight oil as they work on a legal brief or court-opening statement. Considered an intellectual sign, these are all areas in which you, as a ♊Gemini, excel.
This month will hold two 🌑🌕eclipses, which always brings surprise news. The first 🌑eclipse will appear on August 12 in ♌Leo and will be quite friendly. It will underscore the theme of travel and communication again, only more strongly. The Sun and Jupiter will orbit close together, suggesting a new assignment will come up that will be just your cup of tea. It will be one that can showcase your talents in a way your previous projects didn’t offer, and it may pay you well, too.
Mars will move to your financial second house on August 11, so your expenses could rise, but that will simmer down by September 27. Receiving an assignment to help you cover those high costs will be welcome. Besides, you should have some money left after you pay those bills that you can save or spend as you like.
Venus will enter your sector devoted to love, romance, and pleasure with children, a part of your chart that also covers your creativity and imagination. This period will span from August 6 to September 10 when Venus will be in air-sign ♎Libra (a perfect place for Venus to be for you). Beautiful clothing for the coming season will start to filter into department stores, boutiques, and retail websites, suggesting this may be the best time to find a flattering new outfit. It would also be a great phase to experiment with an artistic or literary project.
This month’s second 🌕eclipse will occur on August 27-28 in ♓Pisces as a 🌕full moon lunar eclipse. This 🌕eclipse will not be friendly, for Uranus, the planet of unexpected events, will challenge this 🌕full moon in your tenth house of reputation and career and, at the same time, put pressure on the Sun in your house of home and family. Some sort of change is coming to your career, and it could be something you initiate (because you simply “can’t take it anymore” or because changes that are out of your control are causing it). No matter. Although this 🌕eclipse will have shock value, you can handle it, but you should keep your schedule light at this time so that you will not be overly burdened with work.
You had a 🌕lunar eclipse just like 🌕this one on August 28, 2007. 🌕Eclipses repeat in sign and degree every 19 years, however, the planets surrounding this 🌕eclipse will have since moved into different positions and signs, of course, so history never replicates precisely. If you can recall anything important that happened back then, you might be able to pinpoint a general theme that might come up again. We will all be in this together. Mars will do what he can to help you to navigate these waters and perhaps find a source of income you will need to cover a new expense.
