-Horoscope

It appears you are entering a completely new era. The past is rapidly disappearing into history, and it might be a lot to take in. This all started last year, possibly in a subtle way, but conversely, it could have been clear and dramatic. It all depended on where sensitive natal planets were situated in your chart. Jupiter was in Gemini from late May 2024 to early June 2025, and you made a wise decision at that time. Even happy events shift the dynamics of your daily life, but no matter, you are one of the most flexible and adaptable signs. You can ease into any new role with just a little effort. As a Gemini, you understand the need for change. Each of the other outer planets are on the go, rapidly moving us all into new conditions. You are one of the lucky ones because those outer planets—the ones that stay in signs for years, and some for decades—are moving into air and fire signs. Pluto is now in air-sign Aquarius (for 20 years), and next year Neptune will move permanently into fire-sign Aries (for 14 years). Uranus will move permanently into air-sign Gemini (for seven years), and Saturn will move into fire-sign Aries (for nearly three years). Jupiter is currently in water-sign Cancer but will move into fire-sign Leo (for one year) in June 2026. I have never seen all the outer planets move to brand new signs within months of each other and into highly compatible signs to each other and to YOURS. Fire and air go together like salt and pepper. The new moon last month, which appeared in compatible Leo on July 24, will be influential for months, but will be especially strong in August. That new moon appeared in your third house, the house Gemini naturally “owns” because this house centers on communication, always considered to be one of your best talents. Many Gemini work in publishing or broadcasting, podcasting, gaming, app development, or within the digital realm. Other Gemini are writers, editors, researchers, or translators, or they work in advertising, publicity, marketing, or sales. You may be signing a contract, writing a press release, or be invited to write a regular column for a publication new to you. Someone—a publisher, partner, editor, or client—seems to be putting a lot of pressure on you to do what they say without listening to your point of view. Through this person, Pluto (opposed to the transiting Sun) is speaking to you. Opportunity exists, but you first have to deal with this individual who represents Pluto. They want what they want with no discussion. They are bossy and difficult. You will have to placate this person. They have a high position, so there is no way around them. However, you have so much support. The best planet is Saturn, adding long-term gain and profits gleaned from the new communications-oriented project you seem to be beginning. Uranus in Gemini was also beautifully oriented to the July 24 new moon, and that tells me you will dazzle with original, innovative ideas. Even when others tell you that you have to fit the cookie-cutter mold, secretly, they will be impressed. I feel you will prevail, but with Mercury currently retrograde, perhaps not immediately. Mercury is your ruler, so it is given more weight in your chart than other signs, although Mercury retrograde is one aspect that everyone feels. Mercury started to retrograde last month on July 18 in Leo (the same third house of communication discussed above), so your new project is where you would likely see delays, do-overs, cancellations, mix-ups, or coding and software or Wi-Fi difficulties. Mercury will go direct on August 10. Action Mars is currently in Virgo and your domestic fourth house, so your focus has been there since June 17. This is not the easiest place for you to host Mars because Virgo is a heavy earth sign, and with Mars transiting your home and family sector, you may have been monitoring a move to a new address or a major renovation, repair, paint job, decluttering project, or a complete décor refresh. Alternatively, you might have been focused on your family, working to help a relative who needed your advice and assistance to find a solution to a pressing problem. No matter what you were doing, it required a lot of detail and organization since that is Virgo’s forte. You will feel noticeably happier from August 6 until September 22 when Mars moves out of Virgo and into air-sign Libra. You will be back in friendly territory at long last. You can relax. While you may still be working on a home or family matter, it will not encompass as much of your thinking. Instead, Mars in Libra will bring a welcome new chapter to your sector of love, romance, entertainment, leisure, pregnancy, and the pleasure of children. This part of your chart also rules artistic expression, and that July 24 new moon will encourage you to use your imagination in fresh ways. Mars in Libra will act like an advance man for the Libra new moon that will appear in October, with Mars having the job of laying the groundwork to bring you more fun and romance. Mars will put you in the mood for love—which is important—and then your opportunities, although plentiful now, will become heightened after the new moon arrives on October 21 in your fifth house of true love (the place Mars will enter on August 6). You will have more time and inclination to socialize, which is when excitement begins to bubble up. It looks like the coming months will bring invitations, a possible party that you will attend or host, and as many cultural events as you’d like to experience and be stimulated by. It also will be a more romantic time if you are open to that possibility. If you are single and looking, Mars may provide an introduction to someone new. Married or attached Gemini can grow closer. If you have children, you will want to delight them, be with them, have fun with them, and surprise them. If you hope to have a child, you may become serious about your plan for a new baby from August through the end of the year. If you want to work on your creativity, to nurture it and bring it to a new level, this will be the best time to begin. Even though the October 21 new moon will likely bring more strength and intensity to your love life, no matter what your status, Mars in lovely Libra will help turn you away from other concerns and truly embrace romance. Now let’s turn to the full moon on August 9, which may mark an important turning point for you—an exciting, welcome one. The full moon on August 9 will fall in air-sign Aquarius at 17 degrees, and it will drip with support. It will light your ninth house of intellectual investigation, which rules your pursuit of higher education and the industries that distribute information (broadcasting and publishing). This house rules the import-export of ideas, goods, and services and covers international relationships, global travel, and immigration, including such matters as visas, passports, and residency. As an intellectual house that seeks truth, it rules debate, the courts, and all legal matters. All these areas will glow for you. Most Gemini work in a communications field, since you are talented in this area. This suggests that you may receive a rare opportunity to start a broadcasting, digital, or publishing venture. The full moon of August 9 will be extraordinary. This full moon will receive powerful vibrations from Pluto in your ninth house (the same house I just discussed above), suggesting one of the areas listed will be an area of high potential for gain and gratifying success. Both Saturn and Neptune will work with Pluto from your house of community, suggesting you could attract a following from the venture you are about to launch at this full moon. Although this full moon will not make aspects (talk to) other planets, Mercury will be the chairperson of this full moon, and remarkably, Saturn will bring his gifts of longevity and security to Mercury based in your third house of communication. Meanwhile, another interesting set of planets will work on your behalf at the time of the full moon on August 9. Mars, newly minted in your fifth house of creativity, will send a beam of supreme harmony—a trine—to Uranus, the planet of innovation and surprise, now in Gemini and your first house of you (your personality). This tells me that your success will, in large part, hinge on the unique personality that you put into this project. Uranus would have it no other way. You may feel a nontraditional approach is called for, and you will be eager to present the material you are working on in a new, fresh, and more modern way. Uranus feels it is necessary to break a few eggs now and then, so to speak, and you seem to have license to do so now (be careful though—check your thinking with your client or boss first). Take this in—Uranus is currently in Gemini and your first house at 1 degree, Mars will be in Libra and your fifth house at 1 degree at this full moon, and both planets will send a divinely harmonious beam to Pluto in Aquarius and your ninth house at 2 degrees (discussed earlier, this house includes communication-oriented ventures, among other matters). At the same time as the August 9 full moon, Pluto, Uranus, and Mars will form a tight, perfect, air-sign golden triangle. I nearly fell off the couch when I saw this. Dear Gemini, this full moon is made for you. Whether you are an author, musician, poet, columnist, producer, TV host, or game developer, or you work in advertising, marketing, public relations, research, translation, app development, or any other facet of the communication arts, you are about to find yourself in the exactly right place at the right time. I noticed something important about this full moon. I checked my app “Moonlight Phases” (available for a one-time price of $7.99 on the Apple App Store and Google Play), which tells me when the moon is “void of course.” Void of course means the moon is not engaging with other planets, which is unfortunate for new ventures. My app has GPS in it, so it can follow you wherever you happen to be. In New York, the moon will be void on the day of the full moon, August 9, from 3:54 AM until the next day, August 10, at 2:50 AM when the moon will move to Pisces. That is very long for the moon to be “out to lunch.” That’s almost 24 hours of the moon being void and not helpful to your venture. I looked at the day prior to this full moon, Friday August 8, which is a dazzling day that’s breathtaking in its scope. The moon will still be in Aquarius and much more engaged with the planets. With new moons, the goodness flows after it appears, but with full moons, on the day prior, as you come very close to its peak (which will be August 9), it is more powerful as it builds toward fullness (August 8). After it peaks (August 9), its power begins to decline until it’s done within four-and-a-half to five days. You might say, “But wait, Susan. Mercury will be retrograde until August 10, so isn’t it better after it turns direct?” Yes, 90 percent of the time, it is, but not necessarily this time. I chose Friday August 8 to debut my new surprise for you that I think you will like. I’m not able to give you any more information right now, so please sign up for my newsletter, and as soon as I can, I will email you all the details. You can sign up for my newsletter at www.astrologyzone.com/newsletter or click here. I will be sending out a series of email blasts about the programming of my exciting new show! This is an example of how astrologers have to look at the entire sky and not just one aspect all by itself. I weighed all the aspects going on at the same time to choose a day (Friday August 8) when I felt the avalanche of beautiful, sparkling planets would overpower anything Mercury could do. I will say I did sign the contract with the team I will be working with for the show just after the new moon in Gemini moon on May 26. Depending on the nature of your venture, you will see a culmination of events from Friday August 8 to Wednesday August 13. The full moon should deliver its message (regarding the list of topics I chronicled earlier that are ruled by the ninth house) on one of the days in that time span. The Gemini who will benefit the most will be those who have a birthday that falls near May 20 to May 24, or who have a natal planet in Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius at 0 to 3 degrees. If you have a natal planet in Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius at 0 to 3 degrees, you will also benefit. I feel every Gemini will have a development, so let me know. Drop me a note. I want to hear about the good news you have to share. Write to SusanMiller@astrologyzone.com. You can do your chart for free on my site, so go to the homepage of AstrologyZone.com, and scroll down to find the box that says “Free Natal Birth Chart.” Once you get to the field to enter your birth date, you will need your exact time of birth, to the minute. Use the Placidus Tropical algorithm from the pull down menu on the lower left-hand side. (Use the whole house system if you don’t know your time of birth, and default to Sunrise.) It would be best to print out your chart from your computer so you can refer to it often, and you can also read my interpretation. You will also see a box that lists all your natal planets, the signs they were in on the day you were born, and their degree. If you know your time of birth, you will also see your rising sign listed, which you should read for each month along with your Sun sign. Both are equal in importance. One last thought: Some Geminis have Aquarius on their mid-heaven (cusp of the tenth house of career honors and fame), which means that Aquarius is found at the very top of their chart, due to the longitude and latitude of their birth. If you do, and the degree is 17 degrees or later, you will have a major career breakthrough at the same time as this full moon’s span of time, August 8 to August 13. Now let’s turn to the new moon in Virgo, 0 degrees, on August 22, to energize your home and family sector. This area appears to have been extremely busy for you recently. Mars has been pouring energy into this area of your life since June 17 and will finish up his work here on August 6. Mars in your home sector creates noise, action, and plenty of people going in and out. Next month you will have a second new moon in Virgo, but at 29 degrees, on September 21, and it will be a super friendly solar eclipse. That is a LOT of planetary energy to have in one part of your horoscope. Your home or a property you may want to buy, sell, or rent, or renovate, refresh, or repair seems to have been a big part of your thinking recently. If you need to move, by all means, browse your options. If you are waiting for renovations to be finished, it looks like they will be done by September 21 (plus one week), a time when you can move back into your house or apartment. If you need to close on a new home, Mercury will go direct this month on August 10, so you can sign after that. I would say leave a space of days after that date and then proceed. Avoid the September 7 eclipse next month, which will emphasize your career. Generally, I prefer to avoid doing big things on the day of an eclipse, even though both of the eclipses next month appear to be more friendly than most. Eclipses have a way of bringing on huge life events that we long remember. We think we are under our own control, but we find out later that we were coaxed into doing something on a certain day by the universe. It continues to astound me that the universe runs like a Swiss train, always on time. Keep in mind that you can feel an eclipse one month to the day earlier, plus or minus a tolerance of five days, which would bring you to the time near August 9 (again, underscoring career progress). For love and romance, you have Mars putting a strong emphasis on socializing from the time Mars moves into Libra on August 6. From August 25 to September 19, the icing on the cake will be when Venus will glide into Leo, a highly compatible sign for you, making travel to nearby luxury resorts an exciting option. By the way, the day Venus conjoins Jupiter (a once a year occurrence, but always in a different sign) will be a stellar day to hear good news about money coming your way. It will happen on August 11 or 12, depending on your time zone. Next month over the weekend of September 13-14 and on Monday September 15, Venus will be communicating with her lover Mars—these will be extra special days for love and romance. You have a spectacular month in store!

Summary

Your prospects for earning more money look excellent as you enter August, and your income seems to be tied to your talent in the communication arts. You may be writing, speaking, editing, researching, translating, selling, doing PR, or marketing. This month you seem to hit just the right note on all the work that you will do. Your ruler Mercury has been retrograde since July 18 and will go direct on August 10. Mercury will regain his former strength by August 25. This gives you permission to take time off while your ruler regulates itself this month. The new moon late last month on July 24 was simply fabulous and may have already brought you a luxurious option to go out of town, but if not, it may come in early August or even in October. The travel bug may still be in you at the full moon on August 9. At that point, you may be hurrying home from a distant trip, a location that might have allowed you to combine business with pleasure. You may need to be back to home base to get ready to start an important new assignment that will begin (or be approved to begin) at the full moon on August 9, plus five days. Alternatively, you may be putting the final touches on a project that is due between August 8 and August 14. Meanwhile, you appear to have a lot of activity being stirred up at home, other property you might own or rent, or concerning real estate you want to sell or buy. Since June 17, Mars has asked you what you’d like to do to improve your home or help a family member. Action Mars will be finished spotlighting your home or other property and the people (or family) with whom you share your space when Mars moves out of Virgo on August 6. Virgo is not the easiest place for you to host Mars, so you will be able to breathe easier after Mars has left Virgo. The new moon of August 22 will take up where Mars left off and expand the emphasis on your home and family members. Plans that were only simmering will reach full boil (in a good way), and you will be able to take action soon. You can be very productive in the coming weeks. You may be buying, renting, or selling property, or moving, renovating, refreshing your décor, doing repairs, or asking the painters to begin. You might be overseeing real estate for someone else. The August 22 new moon will be the first of an exceedingly rare double new moon in Virgo, and the second one will arrive next month on September 21 as a new moon solar eclipse. These two new moons are emphasizing how important home, other property, or family matters will likely be for you. You may enter into an entirely new phase of home-related matters—the time for thinking and planning will soon end, and you will be called on by a loving universe to swing into action. That new moon solar eclipse, due September 21, will be more powerful than the August 22 new moon. It could mark a heartwarming time, to say the least. That coming eclipse will be as sweet as sugar, which is unusual, for past eclipses have not been so nice. While all of them require adjustment to new circumstances, I feel you will enjoy the effects of the September 21 eclipse. Next month you and I will talk more about the coming eclipses on September 7 and September 21. Mars’s new place in Libra from August 6 to September 22 will bring opportunities for romantic episodes, quality time with children, and enhanced creativity—pick which area interests you, and make fun plans. Next month on the full moon lunar eclipse in Pisces on September 7, your career will light up brighter than Times Square. Something professional is coming to a culmination, so think good thoughts. That September eclipse might bring you more money, too.
