Sum.♑ CapricornGem. ♊

March 2018

March will be an important month, mainly because you will be able to seize back control of the direction your life takes in coming weeks. This noticeable shift of energy won’t take place until mid-March, but that’s fine because first you will have people to see, places to go, and projects to ship. You need to prepare for your next chapter, and the first two weeks of March will be exciting and highly productive.

The month starts off with a very friendly full moon on March 1 in Virgo 11 degrees. Virgo is a lovely earth sign that blends perfectly with your earthy Capricorn Sun. You may be coming back from a very distant trip at this time – possibly from a location that required your passport for entry. I am not sure if you traveled for business or pleasure, or a combination of the two, but no matter what, you seem very happy with results.

You may be thinking about an immigration matter, visa, passport, or green card. If so, things should work out nicely at the full moon and you’ll finish up talks or actions by March 4.

If you could not get away, you may be putting the final touches on a publishing, broadcasting, or Internet project, or participating in an important college or graduate school exam or interview, or hearing back about an application you sent in. If you have to defend your thesis on March 1 or 2, you are in luck – the professors will love your theories.

This full moon will receive stabilizing, comforting vibrations of Saturn, your ruling planet, so what you gain at this time is what you will keep for a very long time. This will not be fleeting, critical acclaim but contribute solidly to how you are viewed by people who matter in your industry. The deal you strike, the legal matters you settle, the ideas you set forth, and the work you do will add to who you are, and how people will estimate your potential.

If your birthday falls on January 2, plus or minus four days, you will enjoy this full moon the most. The same is true if you have Capricorn rising or the natal moon in Capricorn at 11 degrees, plus or minus five degrees. If you don’t have any of these placements, check to see if you have any natal planets in Capricorn, Virgo, or Taurus, Pisces, Cancer, or Scorpio at 11 degrees plus or minus five degrees – the planet that fits that description will be very lit up and receive many benefits. Take notes on which planet that is and watch to see what happens.

The part of your chart that is about to light up like a beacon is the pinnacle point of your horoscope, the mid-heaven, which points to your contribution to your field and the leadership abilities that you display. This has to be a gratifying moment for you. When Venus receives Jupiter’s glowing rays in the first days of March, you are due to hear good news about your career.

No matter what events are taking place in your life as March opens, when it comes to professional matters, you will be moving to the head of the class. On March 1, a full moon in Virgo 11 degrees, to be strong and influential through March 4, will elevate your reputation and allow you to celebrate an important career victory. If your birthday falls on January 13, you will have a lot to celebrate professionally.

Venus’ interaction with Jupiter will also help you see your love life flourish in the first days of March. These aspects will take you through March 3-4, the first weekend of the month. It sounds like you will have a heavenly episode to look forward to doing. You may be invited to a lavish party or benefit party and enjoy the new people you meet. Among those you meet, one person may thrill you, and you may want to know that person better. I am adding love and fun to your forecast in the first part of March because Venus rules your solar fifth house of true love, and as said, Venus and Jupiter will be collaborating beautifully in a magical trine (the best aspect you can hope to get). All conditions are right for weaving an evening of magnificent love.

On March 2, Venus’ brother, Mercury will receive the same harmonious golden beams from Jupiter. You will have a great time to travel (straight through the weekend of March 3-4), and for shopping and finding good bargains. If you need to sign a contract, do so on March 2. You will have chosen one of the finest parts of the month to do so. Again, those Capricorns born within five days of January 13 will benefit the most from Mercury’ contact with Jupiter.

The Sun and Neptune will be conjunct on Sunday, March 4, so if you are creative, this is the day to devote to your craft. You may turn out a work that can bring you quite a profit. I say that because the Sun rules your solar eighth house of commissions and bonuses, as well as other people’s money. Neptune’s presence also makes this a gorgeous weekend to see an art movie, hear a concert, see a ballet or a Broadway play, or visit a blockbuster museum exhibit. You might also treat yourself to a spa treatment instead. It’s due to be a lovely Sunday.

Two important days are coming up to circle on your calendar, both outstandingly positive. Let’s look at those in detail, March 11 and March 13.

On Sunday, March 11 and Monday, March 12, the Sun will be in ideal angle to Pluto, a big money planet. These days would be perfect for meeting with a powerful person who can get you the funding you may need to launch a new business idea. If you need a loan or an infusion of venture capital, or to make an application for a scholarship, or for another purpose, ask on one of these two days.

March 13 will bring a gorgeous aspect, the Sun trine Jupiter (most harmonious aspect possible), that will bring all kinds of good financial news, and possibly easy accord on a contract. If you sign a contract on this day, your business idea will likely excel and produce quite a bit of money. This is truly an ideal day to sign papers.

Communication, negotiation, short distance travel, research, working on new technology and telecommunications, and artistic expressions will come up as options to get involved in at the new moon, March 17 in Pisces 27 degrees. This is a gorgeous new moon, for it will receive direct support from good fortune Jupiter in a breathtaking, magical trine position. You may get an opportunity to write or speak, to publish a book or cover story, to work on an app or new software, or to start a blog or redesign a website. This new moon on March 17 is the time to launch an advertising or publicity campaign – start on March 17 or close to that date (AFTER the new moon arrives), such as on March 18 or 20.

This new moon will encourage you to travel. Choose a sumptuous, private location near a beautiful body of water, for this is a new moon in Pisces, and Neptune will be close, all encouraging you to be near the sea, a lake, brook, creek, or other body of water. With Jupiter prominent, you will want to enjoy luxury and pampering. The lovely part about the opportunity you get to drive out of town will be that you won’t have to go far to have fun. The third house will be so lit up for you, and that house rules short distance trips. You need not stay long, so maybe you can spend more on your accommodations and revel in the elegant surroundings.

If you need to travel to see a client, your best clients will be made by visiting a client face-to-face in a nearby city, such as the distance of London and Paris, Los Angeles and San Francisco, or New York and Philadelphia, Washington, or Chicago. You get the idea.

Finally, this new moon will generate news about your sister, brother, or cousin, for the third house rules your relationships with these individuals, too. Be sure to check in and find out what’s going on. It seems that the news will be upbeat and even joyous, and you’ll want to know the entire story.

If your birthday falls on January 17, plus or minus five days, you will find this new moon a big help with all you have do to – opportunity will be everywhere you look. The same is true if you have Capricorn rising, or the natal moon in Capricorn at 27 degrees, plus or minus five degrees. If you have a planet in Capricorn, Virgo, Taurus, Pisces, Cancer, or Scorpio within five degrees of 27 degrees, you will find that planet has heaps of good news to bring to you. Make a note of that planet, and write own what happens on your calendar.

Mars will be in Sagittarius during the first half of the month, so during the first two weeks, it appears you will be working on projects in a strategic, behind-the-scenes mode. You seem to have to polish certain details, and the first two weeks of March will be the time to get those precisely right.

On March 17 (coincidentally the same day as the new moon), Mars will move to Capricorn, which happens every two years for an eight-week period. This is great news, for having Mars in your sign is always a big advantage. Mars will give you presence, energy, and drive, and people will listen to what you have to say, and be more inclined to approve your ideas.

While Mars tours Capricorn from March 17 to May 15, you will be able to go after all that you want with gusto. There will be a caveat, which I will explain in a moment – this has to do with an approaching Mercury retrograde phase – but that won’t obliterate the importance of having the planet of courage and drive, Mars, in your sign, putting you first, as the leader of the parade.

Mars in Capricorn will give you control over the direction your life and will ignite your passion and drive, and others will not fail to notice this very attractive quality in you. You will be able to attract support for ideas, even if in recent weeks it has not been that way. Mars is also known to help engender new love relationships too – energy attracts more good energy – so others will want to be near your warmth and light.

Mercury will be retrograde from March 22 to April 15 and will require that you be patient during this phase. Use this time to plot your course, but try not to get involved in any major initiations such as to take a new job, buy a house, or do anything that requires a binding promise. Mercury will retrograde in your home sector, in the area of your life that is most likely to bring delays, cross currents, and a few frustrations. By all means do not buy any new electronics or machines with moving parts during Mercury retrograde.

The mood of the month will change by the time you get to the full moon in Libra, 11 degrees on March 31. This full moon will put a big spotlight on your career, and you may be celebrating a victory. There is no doubt that a professional matter will be reaching culmination, and you might receive an offer for a promotion or new job with another firm.

If this should happen, however, I am not sure if you will want to accept the offer. The problem is that your ruler, Saturn, will be orbiting shoulder to shoulder with Mars. Both tough-guy planets will send a harsh 90-degree glance to the full moon in Libra in your tenth house of career, and at the same time, send the same angry glance to the Sun in Aries in your house of home.

If the new job would require that you relocate, that stipulation might give you pause. You will want to integrate the feelings of family members, and any children you might have, and obligations (if any) that you may have to your parents who depend on you, too. A close friend seems to be sympathetic to your situation and may offer you advice and alternative ideas – this is indicated by the position of good fortune Jupiter, currently moving through your eleventh house of friendship. A professional group that you belong to may also be insightful to your situation, and might offer you contacts and information, too.

This full moon is in Libra, and Venus rules Libra. At month’s end, Venus is found conjunct Uranus on March 28 (close enough to the March 31 full moon). Uranus is the planet of unexpected developments. The proximity of Venus and Uranus is about to give this full moon a note of volatility that will make it impossible to know which way things will go. You may get some wonderful surprises with a home or family matter, or just the opposite, your children may not want to move and give you a hard time about taking a new job that requires a move.

This full moon is complicated, and Mercury retrograde is not helping matters. Not seeing your individual chart, I can’t say which way things will go. One thing is certain: if there is any sign that can sort out complexities in any sticky matter, it’s a cool headed Capricorn. This is the reason Capricorn is considered a sign that produces some of the world’s greatest leaders, especially those who work for behemoth multi-national companies.

Summary

The bright full moon of March 1, in fellow earth-sign Virgo, will be tailor made for you. This full moon will put bounce in your step and have you grinning. Your ninth house of long-distance travel will sparkle, so you may be returning from an exciting trip to a foreign country or concluding talks with executives abroad about an upcoming international endeavor. You may settle an immigration matter or a dream involving your pursuit for higher education. Publishing and broadcasting ventures will now enter a final stage. All full moons are strong not only for a day but have an extended influence of four days, so this influence will be felt until March 4.

If you do manage to travel this month – and there will be opportunities near March 1 and also after the new moon, March 17 in Pisces – choose an especially pretty setting near water. Additionally, with Mars moving into Capricorn, you might want to visit an old city with castles or historic landmark structures that would be fun to explore.

Mars will be in Capricorn from March 17 to May 15 for the first time in two years and give you a big competitive advantage over other zodiac signs. Use this time to launch an initiation that requires you have a lucky edge, such as if you have a big interview, are planning a product or service introduction, making a bid on a house, or having a first date – you get the idea. Mars will impart courage, energy, and drive, and during the period Mars is in Capricorn, a rare trend, you can get precisely what you want most.

When deciding when to launch the initiative, keep in mind that you might want to wait until Mercury retrograde is over, March 22 to April 15. You will still be free and clear from, say, April 20 (allowing a little space from the day Mercury retrograde turns direct April 15) until May 15. You can take the first half of this trend plotting your course, and the second half enacting it.

The second half of the month may bring a contract to sign, but be careful. Mercury rules all binding agreements and will be weak when in retrograde orbit from March 22 to April 15. It’s never wise to sign during this period, nor to get too close to the start or end date of Mercury retrograde either, as during those three-and-a-half weeks Mercury acts his wildest. If you get a contact during Mercury retrograde, send the paperwork off to your lawyer first, and then deliberately slow down talks. Next month, April 23 would be a superb day to sign, for on that day Jupiter and Mars will work together.

If by chance you get the paperwork early in March – a less likely situation – then do sign in the first part of March. In fact, March 13 will be your most heavenly date to sign.

At the end of this month, March 31, you have a second full moon, this time in Libra, and your career will light up brilliantly. A project that you have been working on for some time will now come to culmination. It’s a special moment, but you will feel the weight of responsibility, both in terms of the career opportunities and obligations you have at home to family. You know you’ll need to be a master juggler, but you can do what needs to be done – you’ve done it before – but this time you will be performing at a higher, more complex level. The choice is up to you. This job may not be quite right, and if not, new offers will come down the line. Your secret: Capricorns are said to always remain cool and calm under pressure.

Still the pressure of this particular full moon will likely be evident. You may get an offer that seems not quite right for you. I am not happy about Mercury being retrograde. If the offer comes from someone you used to work with or a company where you enjoyed working for a while ago, you can take the job because you are not starting a new relationship, but simply continuing a former relationship that you’d like to do more with in the future.

If you would have to relocate, that point may concern you, for Capricorns have been relocating home quite a bit over recent years. This can be a positive, but you’ve had a lot of change in your living arrangements lately, and they likely came up suddenly, without a lot of notice. Only you can decide. I do know that the new moon next month in your home sector on April 14 will not be an easy new moon either, suggesting that you may not find a relocation easy to do because you may not find spaces you think are suitable. If nothing seems right, keep your eyes on the new moon October 8 later in the year. When it comes to a savvy Capricorn, your services will always be in high demand.

March 2018

You may be surprised to hear this, but March is due to be a dazzling month for career progress, and you are the sign most likely to have the most buzz about your mounting success. This will become more obvious mid-month, but now, as you enter the month, think about what you hope to achieve in your professional life, and start to get your resume, bio, or CV polished up, for you will need it.

As you begin March, planets are quietly gathering in Pisces at the very pinnacle place in your chart, known as your tenth house of honors, awards, achievement, and fame. The planets gathering there include Venus (VIPs love you), Mercury (news), Sun (access to authority figures), and Neptune (your industry image). All these heavenly bodies will be working on your behalf in early March, and they are simply waiting for the new moon to trigger all the possibilities that exist for you.

Before you can even begin to think about how you want things to go, you will be focused completely on your home or family. This comes thanks to a divine full moon, March 1, in Virgo, 11 degrees, in your fourth house of home. You may be going to a big family event, such as to a wedding or to a party to celebrate the recent birth of a baby that arrived for your sister, cousin, adult child, or other close relative. It’s an exciting moment in your timeline.

Alternatively, as you start the month, you may be moving into a new apartment or house, or buying / selling / renting property. If you like where you live, you may be concluding a renovation, seeing important furniture being delivered, or you may be finishing up a decorating plan. You might be renting a cottage for getaways you will take this summer. The reason I love this full moon so much is that Saturn will support this full moon, so you are likely to enjoy the decision you will make, or the experience you have at the full moon, March 1. All full moons are strong for a plus four days, bringing you straight through the weekend of March 3-4.

More importantly, this is a full moon in Virgo, ruled by Mercury, which is your ruling planet, Gemini, and Virgo share. The fact that Mercury is making one of the finest possible aspects to Jupiter, planet of good fortune, is remarkable. What good luck you have for all family events and actions! If you must sign any papers, you can do it anytime in the first three days of March, confident you have chosen one of the best times of the year to do so. Venus will also be in elegant form, making the weekend fun and very romantic. It would be an ideal weekend for a wedding.

Mars will be in Sagittarius, a holdover from January 26 when Mars first entered this sign. Over the past weeks, you have been focused on a significant other – spouse, someone you are dating seriously, a business partner. It is also possible that instead you have been focused on a competitor or critic. If someone had thoughts to share, they surely did do so, loud and clear. Sagittarius is not the easiest sign for you to host, but if you have other natal planets to help boost this placement, you may have enjoyed the trend. It will end on March 17 when Mars moves to Capricorn.

Once in Capricorn, Mars have you focused on finances from March 17 to May 15. This is a once-in-two-year trend that will have you nearly obsessed with money matters. You will organize your receipts to give to your accountant to file your return, review the performance of your retirement portfolio, and you might as well send for your credit report. You will have two months to find ways to increase your savings and investments and to learn about the latest tax laws so that you can legally take advantage of any new deductions.

It is likely that your spending will increase during the coming two months (March 17 to May 15) too, for Mars in the eighth house is known to stimulate purchases. While you are thinking about money, you might also check to see if you can delete any recurring charges on your credit card that you no longer need. Take steps to guard against identity theft by checking credit card statements closely. There are companies that guard your credit and notify you if anything unusual comes up on your credit cards, so you might want to look into those, too.

Here is a day when all kinds of good news about your career can surface, making it perfect for a meeting – March 13. On this day the Sun will receive golden vibrations from good fortune (and financial) planet Jupiter. If you get an assignment or special publicity, it is likely to lead to increased income for you. It is a red-letter career day, so circle it on your calendar.

Your biggest career moment that I talked about at the start of your report will begin with the new moon, March 17. The little heavenly bodies that gathered in your career sector at the start of the month worked on setting the stage, but opportunity always breaks open when the majestic new moon arrives in her white silk gown, at the arm of the mighty Sun. The new moon’s job is to gather the energy swirling about in the universe, package it, and make it accessible to you. This time, opportunity will come to you on a silver platter, and it certainly looks to be exciting in every respect. This is the most important new moon of the year to advance your career, so you will want to make it work for you by taking action.

I love that Jupiter in water-sign Scorpio 27 degrees will be perfectly angled to that new moon of March 17, helping you see prestigious work assignments that pay well and that can elevate your status in your industry. Pluto will also be lending his support from your eighth house, another signal of impending financial gain for you. Neptune will orbit near the Sun, in your house of fame and honors, suggesting you may be on TV or have your photo in print for the entire world to see. This is so exciting, dear Gemini!

All new moons set up two weeks of energy, and the seeds you plant during that window of time that this new moon will create will have the power to improve your professional life for a full year, until the next new moon in your fame sector has time to come back (which will be next year, March 6, 2019).

If you have your chart, look to see if you have a natal planet at 27 degrees Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn. If so, that planet will receive heaps of good luck, so be happy and optimistic, and see what happens!

March may enter like a lamb, but will be ending as a roaring lion, and it’s not a particularly friendly one. The full moon of March 31 in Libra will accent a love relationship, or the care of a child, and if you aren’t getting along, this full moon will bring conflict out in the open. Finances will again will enter the discussion and pertain to that person, and might cause an argument.

I will explain why this may be true for you. Saturn and Mars are in your eighth house and orbiting within a degree (to conjoin April 2). Both of these planets are in hard, 90-degree angle to the Sun and moon, suggesting you and a person you love may not see eye to eye about certain expenses (including how to best care for a child). Financial news will likely come up and cause you to hesitate in moving ahead, for you’ll have to think about what to do. With Saturn involved, you’ll have to pay someone and that might mean putting something you want on hold for a little while.

You will have one bright spot regarding good news about money at month’s end, when Venus conjoins Uranus, planet of surprise, and will be conjunct on March 28. This aspect won’t bring enough good news to take care of news at the full moon March 31, but it will help.

Romantically, Venus is in a sweet place, March 6 to 30, when Venus will move though fire-sign Aries and your eleventh house of fun, friendship, and events. You’ll be stepping out, and with your career on fire, all eyes will be on you. Shop for new things to wear in the first three weeks of March, before Mercury retrogrades on March 22. (You can continue to shop for wardrobe items with Mercury retrograde, but keep receipts, as you may have to make an exchange.)

One special day for love and romance, especially for single Gemini, will be March 28, a Wednesday – look your best!

Summary

The month begins with a joyous family event within days of the full moon in Virgo, March 1. Saturn will be in your house of other people’s money, and aligned perfectly to your home sector, so if you’ve decided to buy or rent property, your banker will want to be helpful to you, and you are likely to get an attractive mortgage or home improvement loan.

If you want to give a party to celebrate a family member’s milestone or recent good news, you will have all that you need to put on a stylish fete in the days that follow March 1, going through the entire weekend of March 3-4.

The March 1 full moon might alternatively be the day when you move, get done with a renovation or repair project, or have an exciting furniture delivery. When it comes to home and family, this full moon is a sweetheart, meant to make you very happy.

By the new moon, March 17, your attention will turn your career, for something big appears to be stirring there. You will have Neptune, Sun, and new moon settled into your most prestigious professional sector (tenth house). Neptune’s presence suggests that you may be the subject of a news story or selected for a highly artistic project, for your face will be in the media and buzzed about in your industry, too. In a separate aspect, Jupiter will be in excellent angle to this new moon as well as to Neptune, boding well for you to be given a chance at doing a project that will combine words and visuals, and be paid well, too.

This new moon of March 17 will herald the best time in 2018 for you to create impressive career progress. Plant seeds in the days that follow it, for those actions will carry your career forward for a full year, until the next new moon in Pisces next year comes by to refresh the current one twelve months from now. (That will be March 6, 2019) With such strong aspects, you must push courageously ahead in the days that closely follow March 17.

Mars is circulating in your seventh house of committed relationships, so you seem focused very much on your partner, in love or business. You may be getting more serious about the person you are dating now, and talking over any small differences so that you can grow closer. Alternatively, at work, you may need an agent, lawyer, headhunter / job broker or other person to bring you the professional offer and to offer advice to protect and advance you forward.

On March 31, the full moon in Libra will affect single Gemini, for it will bring a love relationship to a decision point. The questions that will come up will likely center on whether you want to stay and eventually commit, or leave without regret. If you are attached, the subject of pregnancy or care for present children you have may be on the agenda. Money will also enter the discussion – do you agree on certain upcoming expenditures that you hope to make? If not, you will know it at this full moon March 31.

If you work in the creative arts, you may now finish a major project that allowed you to show your signature style. With Saturn hovering, you will need to look at every detail as you go along, and question every assumption, for too much will be at stake to allow any detail to go amiss.

Mercury will go retrograde from March 22 to April 15, and although Mercury retrograde affects everyone of every sign, it affects you more than most because Mercury is your ruler. Plan to sign important papers well in advance of March 22, leaving as much space from that date as you can muster. Mercury is quite a wild child at the beginning and end of its retrograde, dates I call the “bookend dates.” Follow this plan and later you’ll see that you will be happier and more productive than you would have been otherwise.
